5 of their 9 commits are top GA prospects, but we didnt want them anyway....< sarcasm

Milan Richard and Adam Choice I get because we have bigger guys on board already.
Kitt I get because of what we're packing at WR.
No way in frick should Rogers or Watson be going to Clemson.

I thought part of the big issue with Watson was that he's a Dual-Threat QB, and that that doesn't jive with the Pro-Style offense that we run. See: Christian LeMay.

And to that I say "Cam Newton" and expect the coaches to make it work, lest it be used against you.

The big thing with Watson is that we never planned on taking a QB in this class until we saw Watson in action and by that point he was already a big Clemson lean. Rogers hurts far worse than Watson simply because we have pretty solid depth at QB and are in great shape for several top 2015 QB's. Losing Rogers means that we've missed/will miss on our top 3 LB prospects and will have to exten plan B and plan C offers.

which is fricking baffling given the success we have exhibited at LB lately.

Not really...come to UGA, play football, no weed, and get busted for riding a scooter without a helmet on Lumpkin and get labeled as a Thug POS or go to Clemson, get paid, smoke all the weed you want, and be untouchable by local law enforcement.

Let us not pretend like we're squeaky clean here, but you have a point about the amount of attention that our players garner from the police. Though smoking weed in a university building is a complete fricktard move and the dumbass deserves punishment for being an idiot.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I know we're not squeaky clean, but when our guys get caught doing anything, it seems as if its put on for show for the whole world to see.

It is. Which makes our drug policy retarded. The AJC would have next to nothing in terms of ammo if digging up a 2 week old incident report didn't force us to acknowledge a suspension.
I'm over this holier-than-thou horseshite UGA tries to put on. Nobody gives a shite that we are strict. The only thing the public sees is a school that can't keep guys from being suspended.
You know why there are a million and one DUIs a year? Because - despite the harsh penalties in place - everyone thinks they can be the one to beat out the system. You think a teenager is going to look at the statistics and say, "Gee, I'd better not smoke this one blunt because statistically it hasn't worked out well for those that came before me?" Every teenager has the hubris to think they're superman with superpiss.
Being strict fixes NOTHING.

Who talked shite boy? The stats I wana post cant be easily done by phone. Basically anyone can look it up though, even a dbag like you. Look up every team that surrounds us and see how many GA guys are on their roster, and then see how many we get from their states. I've seen it, and its not close.

Can't get them all. But that why we steal Carolina and florida's top recruits.

I make this point about once a year nowadays on some various UGA board. It is not meant to be directed only at you, but rather the somewhat sizeable portion of our fan base that want to give our coaches' passes for their recruiting misses based on factors out of their control.
You know what I'd say to those coaches? Go find another f'ing job. We don't need you and we don't want you. A large, very large portion of their job is devoted to acquiring talent for the program. For 8 months out of the year, there are no game weeks to distract them. For 8 months out of the year, there is no immense pressure that all builds towards that Saturday night to beat the opponent. For 8 months out of a year there aren't all the radio shows and travel arrangements and varied game-planning on a weekly basis. Sure, some of those things occur during the other 8 months and there are other duties to attend to. But for the majority of the time of those off 8 months, these guys have exactly 0 excuses not to be recruiting every single day of their lives in some fashion. They have no excuse in the middle of f'ing summer to not be writing letters post-dated for a different time of the year when they can send them so that they can mail out multiple letters a day to a prospect. They have absolutely zero excuse to not be scouring the entire country talking to programs about top prospects. They have absolutely zero excuse to not be thinking of ways to sell the school. They have absolutely zero excuse to not be devising responses to opposing coaches selling tactics. AND THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO EXCUSE TO ALLOW LESSER PROGRAMS FROM OTHER STATES TO OUT RECRUIT THEM.
I hate all caps and hate that I just wrote that in all caps, but I'm tired of all of these excuses. There isn't a salesman in the world that has a perfect product, but our coaches lost sales typically have nothing to do with the product we put on the field, and everything to do with getting out recruited in some form or fashion. Dabo and Clemson aren't in the same hemisphere of success both on the field and off the field as UGA. Clemson is not a better school than UGA unless you want to be an engineer which none of these kids want. To let kids be convinced otherwise is to be simply beat on the recruiting trail. To let kids every single year say "I haven't heard from them" is to be beat on the recruiting trail by other schools. There is no excuse for this to happen. Being great recruiters takes hard work and a little charisma. If our coaches don't have those things, I don't want them. If they can't sell a great product, with incredible recent success, Heisman trophy candidates on the team, recent high NFL draft picks including a #1, playing in the best league in America, all the while getting a great education in probably the best college town in the United States, then why are they coaching for us? We should stop making excuses for them if that's the case and start showing them the door.

I'm hoping that the change from Rodney (do nothing) Garner to Chris Wilson will make a huge difference. We already saw it last year in just a short time and we're seeing some more changes with offers going out earlier and earlier this year.
