I was hoping for as much. Reminded me of the LT wound that had scabbed over.

This. I’m not sure what took UGA so long to offer Webster, but he is a player. Parrish is #1 on the board, but with DJ Smith interest up and down I’ll “settle” for Webster.

Chubb's final visits are scheduled. UGA next Friday, Auburn Saturday, & USCjr on Monday.

I'd feel better if he was in Athens last, but maybe it'll go so well that he cancels the trip to Columbia. (Bizarre trip planning from Cedartown, btw).

Supposed to be announcing on TV, Tues. the 28th, but the date could slide either way by a day or two.

Free article on Defense Recruits from a well known site:

SAFETY

90% Committed Nick Glass
6-1, 196-lbs. -- Peachtree Ridge HS, Suwanee, Ga. Glass has been committed to Georgia for over a year now, but he has continued to take visits. Ole Miss and Tennessee are lurking, but Georgia is likely to hold on here.

35% Cortez McDowell 6-3, 200-lbs. -- Locust Grove, Ga. There are a number of teams in the mix here. McDowell was once a Tennessee lean but FSU, Auburn and Georgia all have a legitimate shot for his services.

Georgia could sign as few as none at the position if Glass moves to linebacker or as many as two. After bringing five safeties in 2013, UGA has that flexibility in 2013.

DEFENSIVE LINE

99% Committed Dontavius Russell 6-3, 298-lbs. -- Carrollton, Ga. Russell committed to Georgia during the spring and said that his commitment to the Bulldogs would mark the end of his recruitment.

70% Kendall Baker 6-6, 297-lbs. -- Marist School, Atlanta, Ga. Baker has named Georgia his leader on multiple occasions despite visiting other schools. FSU and Auburn are the main compeition. He could also end up on the offensive line.

70% Lamont Gaillard 6-2, 328-lbs. -- Pine Forest HS, Fayetteville, N.C. Gaillard has held UGA in high regard since the Bulldogs offered. Now Georgia has been the leader for several weeks and a commitment could come this summer.

60% DaVonte Lambert 6-3, 275-lbs. -- Georgia Military College Lambert is poised to be one of the top JUCOs in the country and Georgia is in great shape. Watch out for Florida here as well.

55% Kentavious Street 6-2, 267-lbs. -- Rose HS, Greenville, N.C. Street has yet to visit UGA but still holds the Bulldogs in high regard. According to those close to him, a visit to Georgia could the put the Bulldogs on top comfortably.

49% Elisha Shaw 6-6, 299-lbs. -- Tucker HS, Atlanta, Ga. Shaw has stated numerous times that Georgia and Alabama are at the top. He named Alabama his leader after the spring game, but he will visit UGA this weekend.

It is unclear how many prospects UGA plans to take on the defensive line, but there is no way they can take everyone on this board.

OUTSIDE LINEBACKER

55% Andrew Williams 6-4, 245-lbs. -- Eagles Landing Christian Academy, McDonough, Ga. Williams has built a strong bond with Georgia defensive line coach Chris Wilson. Clemson, Notre Dame, and Florida State are also in the mix.

50% Lorenzo Carter 6-5, 226-lbs. -- Norcross HS, Norcross, Ga. In our opinion, this is a Georgia vs. Alabama battle and a long way from over. Summer and fall unofficial visits will play a huge role in this one.

45% Keyon Brown 6-2, 229-lbs. -- Hardee Senior, Wauchula, Fla. Brown says Florida State and Georgia are his top two teams. Florida could enter the mix as the team to beat with an offer.

40% Dante Sawyer 6-3, 235-lbs. -- North Gwinnett HS, Suwanee, Ga. Sawyer could project as an outside linebacker or a defensive end in the 3-4, and this summer will be key in where he decides to go.

30% Denzel Ware 6-1, 241-lbs. -- Opp HS, Opp, Ala. Ware likes Georgia and Florida a lot right now and the Bulldogs could make a big move if he visits this summer.

10% Rashaan Evans 6-3, 218-lbs. -- Auburn; Auburn, Ala. Georgia has recruited Evans very hard but it is going to be tough to get him to leave the city of Auburn to play his college ball.

5% Jacob Pugh 6-4, 221-lbs. -- Godby HS, Tallahassee, Fla. Pugh is high on Georgia's board but it is well known that the Sunshine State standout is a heavy lean to the home town Seminoles.

Georgia is likely to take two outside linebacker prospects. Keep an eye on names popping up in camp over the summer at this position.

INSIDE LINEBACKER

65% Korie Rogers 6-2, 218-lbs. -- Buford HS, Buford, Ga. According to those close to him Rogers is down to UGA and Clemson. He grew up a UGA fan and many believe he has been a Bullldog lean for awhile now

15% Raekwon McMillan 6-3, 235-lbs. -- Liberty Co, Hinesville, Ga. Georgia has a chance to make a move this summer, but Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama are currently ahead of the Bulldogs here.

CORNERBACK

60% Malkom Parrish 5-9, 189-lbs. -- Brooks County, Quitman, Ga. Parrish is the top cornerback in Georgia in our opinion and after spending time with him on Monday, Georgia looks to be in good position over Georgia Tech.

55% Kendarius Webster 6-1, 180-lbs. -- Stockbridge HS, Stockbridge, Ga. Georgia offered the speedy corner on Thursday, and those close to him say it is a big offer for Webster. We believe the Bulldogs hold the edge over a number of teams here.

45% Kendall Randolph 5-11, 175-lbs. -- Lincoln HS, Tallahassee, Fla. Randolph recently said that Florida State and Georgia stand out for him. His best friend, Reggie Davis, signed with the Bulldogs in 2013.

40% D.J. Smith 6-0, 180-lbs. -- Walton HS, Marietta, Ga. Smith likes Georgia and Tennessee a lot. Florida is also in the mix here. The 2013 school year is a big one in the classroom and on the field for Smith

35% Nicholas Ruffin 6-0, 175-lbs. -- St. Pius X School, Atlanta, Ga. Ruffin is high on Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn right now, and doesn't plan a decision any time soon. If he visits this summer and fall, Georgia will have its shot.

30% Wesley Green 5-10, 168-lbs. -- Martin Luther King HS, Lithonia, Ga.Green is higher on Tennessee and Clemson than UGA right now, but the Bulldogs will have a chance to make a move this summer.

I'm not really nervous...I think the kid wants to be 100% positive in his choice and all info out of Cedartown is that his choice is UGA.

I don't understand the trip order, geographically - especially when these are unofficials and on the family's dime. Cedartown > Athens > Cedartown > Auburn > Cedartown > Columbia > Cedartown 1,049 mi

733 mi.

Just sayin'.

Bobo has been recruiting the hell out of Parrish for a long time for UGA. He has been one of their top targets all along, he just never visited there for whatever reason. UGA is pitching NFL, SEC and easier school, GT is pitching big city (Parrish is from Miami loves city), playing time (only two scholarship corners next year) and comfort (kid loves staff and campus).

New offer,
What ya'll know about this guy and why it took so long to offer. Im gonna say it, we need to do like Bama and offer every frickn top athlete

Free Link:

Big-time DL gets offer

Rivals100 defensive tackle Travonte Valentine's offer list reads like a Who's Who of top universities, but Friday the former Louisville and Florida commit conceded that Georgia is indeed on his mind.
The 6-foot-3, 286-pound defensive lineman told UGASports.com's Jake Rowe that he's now considering the Bulldogs after Georgia defensive line coach Chris Wilson offered him a scholarship.
Although the conversation was brief as Valentine did not have time for an interview, Valentine called the Bulldog offer "a blessing" and Georgia "definitely has a chance."
He plans to visit Athens sometimes this summer.
It won't be his first visit to the Peach State.
Valentine actually called Georgia "home" after growing up in Moultrie as a youngster.
Among his offers are ones from Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Miami, Ohio State and USC.

5 star OT David Sharpe out of Florida is visiting Athens this weekend. Never hurts to have a kid a campus but there's little-to-no chance that we get him. He'll likely end up a gator, unfortunately.

Don't know if it was a rumor or not. But it was posted somewhere that he might be moving to Atlanta. Not that that will make a difference in where he commits to, just hoping.
