One major flaw with your numbers is we are usually under the 85 limit. Especially last year when we were at 69 or 70. Also, I know it's time consuming but I think a better way would be to take each recruiting class and the kids that enrolled and see how many of those kids signed an NFL contract.

(NFL players Divided by Total players) x100 = %
NFL players(2000-2011) = 50
Total players(85 x 12) = 1020
50 / 1020 = .04
I thought GAyTECH people were smarter than this....

Not to mention - and I know this concept of "reality" eludes your logical brains - but no high school recruit in America will look at that stat and say, "Yeah, I guess I see myself being one of the 96% who doesn't get drafted in one of the seven rounds."
Every single kid signs with the school he thinks will propel him to stardom. Obviously not everyone gets there, but we humans are arrogant and irrational by nature. Deal with It.

Trust me, I get it. I love coaching and I love kids having dreams but I hate asking them what they are going to do with their life and they say they are going to play in the NBA or NFL.
Are you on the team here at Blank High School? Nope, I didn't tryout but I'm on an AAU team and my coach thinks I have a real shot. Does he know you're a 17 yro freshmen that's 5'7 and 245 lbs. Yep, but he said even MJ was like me in hs.

He's been a good friend of mine for a while. Much younger than me but the kid is a stud and will not be playing for callaway next year cause he's switching over to LaGrange!

Anybody know about our interest level with Bryce Love, rising junior running back out of North Carolina I believe. Looks to be close to Keith Marshall. Anybody heard anything?

Close in skill set, or close as in friends with KM4?

I think both. He's a track guy turned running back. Below is a free article about him where he mentions:
“I've always looked up to (Georgia freshman) Keith (Marshall). He is always striving for excellence in the classroom and on the football field. I still talk to him when he comes back into town."

If Deshaun Watson is truly done with his recruitment, then why have fallback positions?
quote:
Teams like Georgia and Ohio State will continue to recruit Watson, but his commitment appears solid with Clemson. If Watson eventually wavers in his commitment, he has an idea which schools he would instead consider. “For me, it would be Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, USC and Oregon,” Watson told Carvell.

There is a lot of speculation clemson's OC will leave after this year.

Isn't Watson planning to EE? If that is the case, don't think this would be known before he signs. I could be wrong though.

My post on 247 about the topic:
quote:
The problem with the Chad Morris Bails scenario is that Watson is an EE, so he's going to be on campus in January. Depending on how overrated Clemson is this year, (and I think they are far more bark than bite in '13), it's highly unlikely that the reg. season ends in Dec., Morris jumps, and Watson reopens his recruitment to make a decision in 2.5 weeks to spend 4 years at a school. During the holidays.

I have not given 2 thoughts about Watson, honestly. He has made it clear the Clup$son was his school and he was going to EE...We are loaded at QB for the future and will grab a nice 2015 commit. Good for Clemson...bad for UGA in the sense that homers will say "why can't you keep your top recruits." Yet they have no idea what positions we need and what out of state candidates we have...i hate that argument.
