So OT Christian Harris was in Athens over the weekend, and left without an offer, per 247.
WTF is wrong with our coaching staff? I'd sooner have this kid in hand, especially since he's always wanted to be a Dawg, than get left hanging two weeks before NSD after chasing Tunsil for two years. The unspoken premise of what the coaches told him about working harder and that they see his potential is that if they offered and he committed on the spot like he probably would- then he wouldn't work as hard in the offseason and his senior year? This is bullshite.

“I’ve grown up liking them and wishing to go to that school, and my family is really pushing for me to go there,” he said. “I guess I’m happy with it knowing they know who I am and that I am high up on their list. But at the same time, I’m a little discouraged they haven’t offered me yet. “I feel like they have evaluated me pretty thoroughly already, so I’m kind of just waiting and hoping.”

If they offer, he will commit immediately, so they have to be cautious with the offer. If they don't think he can develop into a high-level starter, than they shouldn't offer.
He'll get an offer if he's good enough. Relax

Offer a kid now and get an immediate commitment, but then if a guy like Andy Bauer (one of the top OT's in the nation, really likes UGA at this point) wants to commit later, he has no spot; you have to (A) pull a committed kid's offer and risk being locked out of a school and face scrutiny from a lot of in-state coaches or (B) turn down a top 100 prospect because you took an early commit from a kid who is not nearly as good.

For those itching for a commitment, wait until march or April, when Josiah Coatney gets his SAT scores. If he gets a qualifying score then UGA will offer. Chances are he'll commit on the spot. #175 in the top 247.
