I doubt we finish in the top 10. We've already fallen to 12 in 2 of the recruiting sites.

With all due respect, I don't think that anybody who is upset over signing day and what's transpired over the last week or so CARES about whether Ole Miss is doing it legitimately or not.
That's not the issue. Recruiting is a sales job. Salespeople have to figure out how to overcome other salespeople's tactics. It doesn't matter if the tactic is illegal gifts, or scholarships to girlfriends, or scholarships to brothers, or jobs for parents, or so on. Our coaches job is to make sure that we sign top flight talent no matter what. Their job isn't to sign top flight talent only under ideal circumstances where every other school is playing by the rules. Their job is to sign top flight talent no matter what. That didn't happen this year and there's no way around it. We certainly signed some quality kids who will contribute, but we whiffed on nearly all the top talent in state for a variety of reasons. Being a top 15 class nationally is a bad thing in the SEC. It is middle of the pack at best.
And just an FYI, fans on message boards aren't the only ones that understand this. McGarity gets it. There's a reason he's said things like this to the media:
Does “very satisfying” mean Greg McGarity is satisfied? Not quite. “I hope to have a Dream Team every year,” he said. “That’s what the best teams do. We’ve got to back that up with another great recruiting year.”
It's unacceptable for UGA to sign anything but outstanding classes. This class would have been outstanding if we had even kept half of the top 15 in state at UGA. We come a lot closer to whiffing on all of them than we do signing all of them.

Fact is, we filled a lot of needs, and got depth. Our team will be fine.

Question for all you know-it-alls... IF MA said he wanted to play in the 4-3 all along as some have suggested....then why in the ever-loving frick did we recruit him so fricking hard and waste soo much time and turn others away? That is what pisses me off...shite like that
