Another point on Foster, and maybe it was just me. He seems to have a mind like a small child. If he ever murdered someone, any half-assed lawyer, maybe even Menlo, could get him off for having the mind of a 5 year old. During the 'presentation' I got the uncomfortable feeling that I might even be embarrassed that this guy picks UGA. The best way to describe it is the Family Guy episode where Brian is dating the really hot, but really dumb chick. If you've seen that episode, that is how I felt, knowing there was a 1% chance he'd pick UGA.
I know athletes aren't usually the sharpest tools in the drawer, but that guy really, really, had some Green Mile shite going on.
God Bless him and his family.

Garner will do more to help us in recruiting than hurt us.

You really think Malzahn would have passed over Garner, if Garner said he needed to extend the professional courtesy to a program that he spent 11 years with, and always treated him right?

Absolutely. Garner's perceived value is as a recruiter. Malzahn needed him leading up to NSD. If not, he needed to get someone else. You can't go into NSD with no defensive line coach. That's why UGA hired Wilson so fast after Garner left.

I wouldnt take this to the recruiting board
Accusations of a hurting arse will ensue

Nothing crappy, it's a big business and Garner took another gig. Wouldn't want a lame duck recruiting coordinator...how would that work anyway??

Yes, let's talk shite about a kid who's obviously very confused.

He's obviously more than confused. He's got some serious issues in his life right now.

No.
Part of what instigated the feeling is that I made my life partner switch the channel from a vampire sex movie to watch this, and while Foster was talking, and I explained why we need to watch this, my partner gave me a few looks while we were watching, and I guess, having just spent alot of money and student loans and busting arse to get into a prestigious program at UGA, my partner was a bit perturbed.
I felt kind of douchebaggy for being exicted about giving this person a scholarship, at that moment. If he picked UGA, I'd have to defend that enthusiasm for years.

Low blow
I'm in my 2nd year and just had a 3.0 last semester. I'm not wowing anybody but I'd like to think it's a little better than half-assed.

Menlo, you know damn well that you could get Foster off of a murder charge for having the mind of a child.
You watched the announcement last night, right?
You have seen Green Mile, right?

Besides that, he just looked awkwardly uncomfortable and unsure of himself. I'd love to be in his mind when he's staring at the three potential LOIs in front of him, right before he signs and faxes the chosen school in.

Reuben Foster is Isaiah Crowell waiting to happen. The only difference is at Georgia he would fail a drug test at Alabama you never hear of anyone failing a drug test.

Back to the big picture:
UGA has 2 of the top ten (in the state), and 7 of the top 25.
30% of our top 25 recruits are either committed or already enrolled.
For a state where 50% of the population are transplants, that's not too bad.
And who the hell knows, maybe Kamara signs tomorrow. But even if he doesn't, I don't think you can call this recruiting class an abortion. It's pretty damn solid.
#1 quarterback in the state is in there too. In a year or two, that might turn out to be more important than a couple of linemen. Much more important. Obviously would like to have all of them, but can't. Not realistic.

If we can sign Seymour and Adeosun, I'll feel like this is pretty damn good class. They're both raw but extremely talented OT's that could easily play in the league one day. Tunsil is a special talent, but those two are good in their own right.

What would he play here? Tight End?

We have got to sign Adeosun. It would take a lot of the sting out of losing Tunsil. He's a player. Criminally underrated, even according to the guys who rank for 247. Schurburtt said he would have been a top 100/150 type guy.
Seymour would be nice to sign as well, if only so we have a leg up re-recruiting him later.
