Tom Luginbill is seriously worse than Carvell. How someone can be that behind on recruiting and work for ESPN is beyond me

Bellamy said UGA is still his leader. Adeosun is now down to TWO but will not say who; most think UGA is still in it. Seymour WILL sign tomorrow, down to UGA and Auburn; will likely have to go prep but a small chance he will qualify.

To be fair to Lugenbill, most sites have around 12 analysts who all collaborate on rankings and what have you. ESPN has Lugenbill and that's it.

For all of you guys saying paying these guys isn't enough that we should be closing the deal because we are a better option, think about it this way. Are you working at a job you love for nothing or are you working for money somewhere that you like a little less.

Well, shite, even I long on to ESPn Insider every now and again to read that UGA hasn't been in it with Crowder in a few months

Yeah, I know...they need another hat on the table to build some suspense.

How is our recruiting class so bad?

Maybe I forgot something. It's been a long day.

Foster has been a Bama fan since he "was a pup", born and raised that way.

Tunsil isn't even from Georgia.

What other big-time Georgia boys are snubbing their noses at us this year?

We've got EIGHT 4-star recruits (either 247 or 247 comp) already enrolled.

We've got TEN 4-star recruits (either 247 or 247 comp) with signed letters of intent.

There's a few other 3 stars that are fully capable of being coached up too.

Would you rather have four 5-stars and five 4-stars, with a bunch of 3 stars?

Or zero 5-stars, 18 four stars, and a handful of 3's?

I think by the time the kids all compete in practice and the cream rises to the top for the starting positions, the team with all of the 4 stars is going to be better.

This is really my first year following recruiting, so feel free to educate me.

This post is a prime example of a recruiting thread with no recruits to talk about

Like someone said earlier in this thread, it's a good class, maybe top 10, but a few days ago we were looking at top 3 before the wheels fell off. But I would rather have the 5 stars to be honest.

Lots of big time Ga guys snubbed their noses at us. We're getting 2 of the top 10 and 3 of the top 15.

I would rather have 3-4 5*, 18 4*, and a few 3*. This class had a chance to be special. It's good, but not great. UGA pretty much screwed up the best year of instate talent in Ga in recent memory.

We don't have a BAD class, it's pretty good. Everyone is down in the dumps because we had a chance to really haul in an elite class and missed on some good in-state talent. Also, teams like Ole Miss and Auburn, two schools we beat the frick out of (and we've owned Aubie under Richt), are hauling in seemingly boatloads of talent. We'll do fine with what we have, though.

We did...we just waited to offer until after he had qualifying scores, Ole Miss didn't.

Lets take the three guys that all this shite storm is about. Tunsil, Adams and Kamara. Someone tell me how many games we are going to lose over the next 4 years because we don't sign these three guys. If we lose more than 1 game because we didn't sign these three I will be surprised. Tunsil is damn sure going to lose more games at Ole Miss in one year probably than he would have lost at Georgia in four. If Adams goes to Auburn we all know what kind of dumpster fire they are. The only one who will probably win more games is Kamara, but he will never see the field in any meaningful games. Just my opinion.

Yeah I know. Just sucks. Could have had Nkemdiche and Tunsil (no OM momentum) just because of that

I'm happy with our class honestly. We filled a lot of needs.

Like crispy said it's not bad. In fact for most school it would be a great class, but look at whose in front of us right now in the Team Rankings. 4 SEC teams and Ole Miss and Auburn will probably jump us tomorrow.

We might have a top ten recruiting class but its only about average in the SEC. And that's what will hurt us.

In hindsight, how much has to do with Garner going to Auburn?

And professionally speaking, is it considered normal to do that, right slap in the middle of recruiting season, when you are the listed coordinator? Or is that considered shitty? In my business that would be considered shitty.

There's no other time to do it really. I don't think that's what hurt us really. Maybe with Adams.

Any time between Feb 7th and start of summer workouts sounds like a good time frame to me.
