We've pretty much been annexed by Bama.

and in my opinion not only is that completely unacceptable but it's mortifying. we, georgia fans, want to parade this program like it's one of the elite and one that deserves special considerations yet we can't even lock our own state down. plenty, including myself, have made excuses along the lines of "well our state has a ton of recruits, can't get them all" except the neglect to mention how Alabama chooses who and what they want. just like that. we get THEIR scraps in OUR state. we share this state with these bumbling morons in ATL who actually run their programs worse than us and we blew that enormous advantage. all we have done is allow the king of football free reign and all of his retarded lil bro minions have learned from him and now teams like Clemson and AU, who excuse my arrogance but are inferior to this school and program in just about every facet, not only are battling but seem to be currently beating us for recruits.

classes like this one are nice but they prime programs for capital one bowls, not playoff runs. and with bobo, grantham, and richt you better be fielding a helluva lot more talented team.

I understand the frustration with his insistence to go by the old playbook on the recruiting trail, but CMR had us on the 5 yard line to go to the Natty. Can't knee jerk just cuz an 18 year old kid followed the money.

if ya knew me you'd know i've disliked richt since 2009, no knee jerk here. and in the SECCG that was richt getting a second shot after embarrassing the state on Oct 6 in columbia. he wasted his mulligan in poor time management and we still almost own. that's nice but that's the best he's done in his tenure here. other times we have shot ourselves in the foot enough to frick up opportunities like 2012 such as 2007-8.

i'm glad richt finally took advantage of a cake walk schedule but i still, to this day, and even then, do not believe mark richt has it in him to lead this team to the promise land. every year it's a new excuse and a new almost. i mean i can go into an even longer diatribe but most here have seen my bitching spiel enough that i'll spare 'em. i just can't seem to ever get any confidence in this program, even pre SECCG i thought we'd lose by 20

Also you guys got to factor alot of kids who go to high school in GA especially in Atlanta area aren't from there. So they dont have that same loyalty to the state program as others such as Texas. They just go where to where they can get the sweetest deal or they think will be the most fun. If we Win the big game im sure it will also help convince kids the UGA is the place to be. atlanta has plenty of transplants but i feel a lot of the talent that lives in that area is pretty local. it's really not that good an excuse. these kids are in our backyard, even if they are from another area. we have all the advantages.

ETA: dammit, i don't even wanna fire richt i just wanna fricking cheat already

This is wear I'm at. We can't compete with a neighboring schools that offer cash and cars and championships. We don't do either (well we cheat but not as well or as extensively). Something's gotta give.

Unfortunately, I don't see our overall fortunes reversing in recruiting or results till we get a high octane, fire-breathing motherfricker in the HC seat who is going to draw 5-star talent in like a cult leader. That is the only thing that will neutralize Saban.

We could start by not going out of our way to make things difficult on ourselves: drug testing kids returning from spring break, accept the same kids other schools do, worry about GPA and not "progress towards a degree" and other such nonsense. And someone grease the AACPD for cying out loud!

We could cover MILES and not resort to cheating.

if we start doing all of that then we will be as awesome as all the other teams that already do all of that

as the religious figure in little nicky said, "let the sin begin!"

I'm being serious though. At UGA you could have a 4.0 but if you haven't "progressed" sufficiently towards a degree you are out. To my knowledge no other SEC school has this. All fall-out from Jan Kemp cowboy days.

That's an NCAA stipulation for every school. It's to stop schools from giving kids classes like HomeEc and shite for 2 1/2 years until they can turn pro.

For regular students, it's a federal financial aid stipulation so you can't go to school for 10 years just to get a 4 year degree on the Gov't dime. But you can spend your entire life on welfare.

This...There are so many legal gray area's & legal limits we can push that we never attempt to use. Saban doesn't cheat IMO as much as he uses every advantage & loop hole available under the NCAA bylaws... KUDO'S to him...

I actually think we'll be 2-2 at the worst...Clemson has np D and will be worse than ours while LSU's entire team declared for the draft.

I'm dead fricking serious. We are staring 1-3 in the face. At Clemson, Jadaveoun will kill Murray, and a stout LSU team.

I'm already braced for it.

And I'm not really sure we'll go 1-3 to start, but just felt like coming in here and taking a shite on our program like everyone else. I feel better now.

It's still better than Clemson's. They also lose Ellington and Hopkins.

We return a better team and Richt>Dabo any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
