Plus, if I were Richt I'd wanna be away from Athens too. It's gonna be an extra big headache from now until kickoff in september

Took a cut from bartending last night because it was so slow. Saw Richard Samuel at Magnolias...then more players out around town than I had all summer. Something like this happening was inevitable. When the cat's away...

What?? You serious?
If there's anytime UGA needs a leader, today's the day.
You've got to be kidding me.

Well, he's not going to spend time doing Mission work in Honduras during the fall or Spring, Don. Plus, like I'd alluded to earlier, Grantham is there and Grantham is arguably our best recruiter. So long as they stay away from Nazi firearms and Mrs. Corwell's car, I think UGA is fine with Richt doin what he do

Tells me 1 of 2 things: the trip was either very spur of the moment for RF and Bo or CMR stays in pretty regular contact with them and it was understood that he'd be gone.
Im doubting he knew of a scheduled visit and then planned a vacation for the same dates. Also doubt that he knew of the visit but already had vacation planned and didn't cut it short to entertain two pretty big time guys.

Is Richt supposed to wave his magic wand and bail Crowell out of jail? Do you propose he call a team meeting to tell the guys how stupid Crowell is and not to be upset? I mean, really? What is Richt going to do right now? I guess if he was there and one of the guys was just having an absolute crisis of faith over this, then ok. But really?
It's not like Richt looked at the calendar and said, "Well, shite. Crow is gonna get busted for that damn gun under his seat on Thursday night... Ah, what the heck. I can at least get a few days of deworming orphans in...."
Would you propose he catches the first flight home to keep Cornelius Washington from jumping off the top of Stegman or something?

Just read an article from Kipp Adams on ESPN that had a quote from shaq wiggens talking about a huge package deal. One that involves Reuben, Alvin, Bo Scarborough, trey Johnson, naim mustaffa, trey Mathews, Ernest Robinson, montravious and dee liner. Is this new and has anybody heard about it?
Posted on 6/29/12 at 9:46 pm to ugastudent
It's new, but I think Shaq is being mighty optimistic. Love for all those guys to come to UGA, but there ain't no way in hell all those guys go to just one school
Posted on 6/29/12 at 9:48 pm to tylerdurden24
He said they all have a plan and plan on playing together. I knew about trey Reuben and Alvin but this surprised me

I would be utterly floored if all those guys went to the same place. I mean completely WTF floored. Not even if they went to UGA. But to just the same place, be it Auburn, bama or UGA

That has to be Shaq talking out his arse. I like the kid and saying that 3 kids were a package deal would be fine. But 10? Sorry, that simply won't happen.

as JHD just said on LHB, Shaq is just running his mouth to reporters. Just trying to stir the pot.
No chance of this happening in either direction. I bet all of those guys are friends, but they aren't ALL playing together

And I think we can expect Milan Richards to commit at Dawgnight if/when he gets his offer

Not sure if he gets an offer at Dawg Night but he basically has to be offered at some point...he's UGA royalty. If he resembles a D-I athlete in anyway an offer has to be made.

I hope he does. The kid sure looks the part. Even if its not at TE I think he can help us somewhere.

Can anyone on this thread make a sig? I would like one with Grantham and Erk in it if possible...

C'mon man....do you really not see the importance of him being there? Me and you cant be anymore polarized right now.
With recruiting alone he should be there. I think you have the recruiting thing misunderstood with Kirby-Saban. Saban lets Kirby loose on the road, not have Kirby cover for his arse while he goes on vacations. You're not going to convince me that it's a good thing for UGA(good thing for us though) that your HC is out while two 5 stars are in town. That's just ridiculous. FYI, Buckey B just said he's at the Lake, not on a mission trip.
If you dont understand why the UGA team needs it's leader now than I dont know what to tell you. You sit here now saying it's no big deal, but when the season comes around and UGA shits the bed again you're gonna be scratching your head wondering why. Well, it's times right now.
You act as if he coaches pro bono, and out of the goodness of heart. Not only does he get paid, but he gets paid millions a year. I'd be pissed if Saban pulled that shite. But hey, he's your coach. If you're happy, I sure as hell know I'am.
