Why aren’t we doing these? Everyone under the sun is salivating over high power passing attacks. I get it. They’re fun to watch. But wouldn’t our answer be to pound the rock with the threat of multiple backs on the field? Especially, considering our passing game woes? And of course still have potential pass targets out there just in case.

I've actually thought a lot about this. Swift and Herrian on the field together would give the defense a lot to think about.

Swift Herrien/Swift Cook/Herrien White. I mean, what position are we losing to sub a back in there? A WR or TE spot? We barely target the TEs unfortunately. Plus, we know we got some good blocking with those boys as well.

I like when we do 6 offensive linemen plus a TE.

I want to see more of those plays.

Orgeron does not. I assure you.

We had both TE's go for nearly 100 yards combined yesterday.

Are you stupid or something?

Would make sense to throw out of that formation. Especially against LSU and their DB.

Have our two RB run routes against their linebackers. Would think that would be a mismatch in our favor

GT is one of the worst teams in the power 5. It's hard to really take much from it. I also don't believe LSU's defense is as good as they looked against A&M.

The reason we go with the 11 personnel package is because it spreads out the defense.

Which 20's package would you run? 20,21 or 22

Gonna be alot of folks stacking the box.

Yeah but teams have been stacking on us for a couple years now. Why not use two back to make them work harder for the stop? And again, I’m not saying abandon the pass option. I feel like with the threat of 2 backs on the field at the same time, it may help the pass game. Especially, against teams who have trouble up front on the d-line.

Not near as much with the 11 package that we use 90% of the time.

How many TE's are you gonna use?

Oilers ran a play tonight with 2 RBs. WR on left side went deep across the middle and the RBs both went left. Single DB on that side had to take the lead RB and the trailer caught a pass and went for the TD all alone.

We ran a play earlier this year with 6th OL and receivers bunched in tight where we ended up throwing... It was successful. I've not seen it again.

It's probably the most baffling thing about Coley. We occasionally dial up some pretty slick play design... But we don't make it part of the regular rotation and unshockingly have difficulty executing it consistently... It's almost like the fans who screamed back during the powder puff openers that we needed to be developing chemistry and rhythm had a method to our madness...

I got two backs, one for the hitches, one for the go (route)

We did this a bit vs GT. One of them would start out in the slot and then motion into the backfield before the snap

Two back sets are all over the NFL right now but they are sending the RBs out on little option routes rather than power runs. It's pretty sad we haven't taken note because Swift and Herrien are both very gifted pass catchers and we are pretty short on WRs. Coley should be immitaing the 49ers offense under Shanahan IMO.

Our offensive playbook is the most unimaginative plain 6 plays bullshite I have ever seen. I guess someone stole Coleys green notebook bc there are no wrinkles. This is old man football and not in a Todd Gurley throwing defenders into the stands type of way.

I love me some RD when he starts talking X's and O's makes others look stupid or not understanding of how complex football has become!

None of this will matter if Fromm can't throw accurate passes. He's been terrible this year.
