If we keep feeding Holyfield on that draw and then throw in a few screens we beat them by 2 TDS.

That's why today was so frustrating. Holyfield was a beast today. 7 times. fricking Chaney.

Should probably add this is just Swift/Holyfield

Add in Fields in a wildcat-hybrid-type Offense and oooo weee

We won’t do it though.

I'm not fired up about Fromm at all. Dude's a baller. It's frustrating to hear Kirby talk about chopping wood, making them quit, imposing our will...then not doing it when it's working. Ridiculous.

Honestly, I’m probably more fired up about our coaches frick ups than Fromm’s. There was no reason for us to be so pass heavy when Holyfield and, to a lesser extent, Swift were unstoppable. Chaney fricked up big time and Kirby let him. It was infuriating.

not letting holyfield touch it after the punt return, and after he mauled their defense to score a TD the drive before was unbelievable

no excuse for that.

This is arguably worse than Fromm’s performance today, and that was atrocious.

Holyfield has gotten 13 carries combined in the last two games. He’s averaging 7.5 ypc this season. I don’t get it.

Yep. Smart/Chaney/Coley have been as bad in game day as they have been good on signing day.

Kirby in his presser said that they tried to go back to the run but LSU adjusted and stopped it.

That is bs because that happened on maybe two plays in a row and they threw their hands up and said frick it, can’t run...they stopped us twice.

You can’t get into a passing contest on the road to a team like that with Fromm.

It has proven to not end well.

Im liking the theory that they let Fromm and Chaney dig their own grave and we will see Fields the rest of the year and Jim gone with no controversy to burden the program. Cause if not and that game is just bad coaching I’m worried.

I think on some level they were giving Fromm an opportunity to see if he can overcome it.

However, we had a game to win.
No reason to keep letting Fromm through that many times early on.

Does nobody on here fully understand or realize that Kirby approves the gameplan and/or could have told Chaney to run more? They do communicate on the sidelines.

Fromm didn't play well but LSU's secondary is God-tier. The fact that we were abusing them with Holyfield and Swift then said frick that is insane. Just pound it with Holfield, thrown in a little Fields, and let Fromm pass on a few and we win.

FWIW the defnese was fine until they ran out of gas. They bent a bit but weren't breaking until the 4th when the offense shat the bed for the 10th time that day
