What do y'all need to see from here to feel good moving forward?

It's been a disappointing season, and I am surprised
I still think y'all are headed in the right direction and a legit threat to compete for SEC titles moving forward
My question is, what needs to happen for the average Aggie to feel good about the future?
You have LSU, Bama and UGA coming up
Is a win against any one of those enough? Does beating LSU do the trick? (or is that overblown on this forum?)
Jimbo.is not doing great this year, but I'm not convinced that means you won't be a force moving forward

Beating LSU would do the trick, but that is looking less likely each week.
On the more realistic side, I think the OL getting their shite together is probably the most important thing, since most of those guys will likely be starting again next year.

I'm not to sure I agree with you.
Their shiny new "eauxffense" hasn't gone up against a good defense thus far (Texas is ranked #102 in total defense). These types of offenses tend to crumble when they play someone with a pulse on defense. Their defense has also regressed a bit. I'm not sure if this is due to their quick offense leaving the defense on the field longer or because they lost talent. So far, I'm not impressed by the new and "improved" LSU. I think they'll lose to a team or two they aren't supposed to lose to this year. For sure, they aren't beating Alabama or Auburn.

Pretty much this. Don’t lose to any team that we shouldn’t, and look competitive in losses.
Every single REALISTIC Aggie knew that this wasn’t going to be an easy season and we were probably getting 7 or 8 wins (wasn’t the Vegas line before the season 7.5???). Jimbo is still having to rebuild, you won’t hear me say the cupboard was bare, but we have some positions that don’t have a lot of talent or development.
So we didn’t expect to win a bunch of games, but we did expect to look competitive and not get blown out like we did under sumlin. The scores to auburn and Clemson games are misleading, we never were in those games. And then we once again barely squeaked by a shitty Arkansas team.
That’s what the fan base is most upset about.

Not sure that I am that disappointed in the team. If you really break it down our defense is pretty damn good. This is a a major improvement since Jimbo arrived.
Except for QB our skill guys are fine. Not a Mond fan but even I recognize that his shortcomings are being magnified because our Oline is horrible.
The Oline is the one area where I expected us to be much improved. Thought we would have solid line play but it is just the opposite. Didn't see this coming and their performance has effected all aspects of the offense. Except for our Oline there is really no glaring weakness on this entire team. Unfortunately we are stuck with it for the remainder of the year.

There is no feeling good about Aggie fb. JFF was our peak and we couldn't even capitalize on a once in a lifetime talent.
