So what did we do differently that was successful the first quarter? I know we ran some tempo in a few spots, what else?

So damn frustrating to think we finally were going to catch a gear and then did nothing for 2.5 quarters after that and let the lead slip by.

Fisher's scripted plays can be run at tempo, and that works. However, when he goes to his "sheets" the tempo slows way down. It was funny to watch Weigman trying to wave the play in when Fisher was taking so long.

If Fisher is going to stay OC (he will), then he needs to greatly simplify the offense. Enough plays that fit on a sheet, and can be run over and over again. No coach should be shifting through "pages" of plays on the sidelines

Avoided sacks, avoided penalties, avoided empty plays on 1st down.

Basically, we stayed ahead of the chains early, then reverted to a sputtering offense that has been emblematic of Fisher's teams the past 7-8 years.
