I have some concerns. The secondary as a whole left too many lobos open, and the lack of running room is a concern. At least the OL knows and will address lack of a running game. But I’m expecting a shootout in Miami if they secondary doesn’t tighten it up

Pot Banger Review
Positives
FINALLY whipped the hell out of an undermanned FBS team hard enough that we got a ton of backups playtime.
Dropped half a hundred on somebody for the first time since 2021.
Team looked organized and disciplined getting the play in on time. Likely the fastest we've been able to get the play in and line up since Sumlin was here.
Defense played well overall and forced a pick.
Not great not terrible
It was disappointing that Daniels didn't take it to the house one his 27 yard run. That play right there was a great example of how spoiled we were w/Achane's ability to kick it into another gear. Hopefully Moss or Owens can step up to be home run hitters.
Negatives
LB play is going to need to greatly improve. New Mexico had the right idea to utilize quick passes. They just didn't have the talent to execute. Our middle will get beat up against teams that have the RBs to soften up them up and the WRs to run quick passes
FG was blocked. Hopefully it was just a miscommunication that can easily be fixed.
Conner was floating passes and throwing off his back foot a bit too much for my liking. Once teams get enough tape on our new offense I worry he could be baited into some picks on those lofted up throws.
Final Grade - A
FG block and poor start to the 3rd nix the perfect score but overall a very encouraging start to the season.

Aggies are STILL #23 in the AP Poll

Considering that Clemson lost last night, the polls probably are out later today.......and naturally we don't move.

Doesn’t surprise me. We haven’t proved anything yet

We won't move for weeks, and after last year I don't really blame the media

If we can be 5-0 going in to Bama I could see us being a 10-15 rank

After several seasons of being overhyped I don’t blame pollsters. Just win games and everything will sort itself out, if we go 12-0 and win the sec, we aren’t getting left out of the CFP.

I don't think it will be high scoring.

Miami had dogshit attendence last season.
I think we can cover the stadium in Maroon - seems like Miami won't get their fans to show up. It'll be like a mini-home game.
Plus we get to go to Miami so
