You might be right. I personally I think Kyle Allen transferred because of the way the WBs were handled. I think Kyker transferred because he was a spoiled Prima Donna.
At the beginning of the season the offense was bogged down vs ASU. Kyler came in and gave us a spark. The separation of the 2 really didn't happen until Kyler had a chance to play significantly. Then it was obvious Kyke was much better.
You raise some good points that's for sure. The negative comments about Murray by other players plays into how I think this went down. Don't remember reading negative comments about Kyke Allen by players. That also has something to do with my take on
We can do without the anti-Semitic name calling.

Clayton Williams? Sounds like something he would do with his big mouth.

Sure Sam - I initially demurred because I don't want to call people out specifically. Cooter asked for it by giving us an example on page one (and CGSC did as well but I'm not going there because the last thing we need is more CGSC)
But a really really good example is the "video" posted midseason. I never actually watched it because I was told by someone that would absolutely know that it was fake before I had a chance.
But the video was put out there by our own. Even if real, why on earth would you do that?

The original video was put on Shaggytexas over a year ago.

To be fair, we have a thing about putting out videos that are bad for our image. Welcome to the SEC, Tra La La, the blackface video, etc. It's like we can't help ourselves, and it isn't exclusive to the athletic department.
But I get your point overall.

Unfortunately some of the negativity spilled over to the point that a booster essentially scuttled another job for Jake. There was really no need for that - the guy was already fired so just let it go.
OK, this is beyond the pale. Spav didn't try to fail. He didn't do anything to bring shame or dishonor to the university. If a booster tried not just to get Spav fired, but to screw him out of another job opening with another school... there's just no justification for that.

Despite that he did his job to the end even calling recruits to make sure they stayed on board.
That's class. I do wish things would have worked out here for him.

So rather than him leaving with grace he had to be publicly fired.
He failed at his job, so he got fired, which officially occurred after the bowl game so he could collect his bonus. That's as fair as the situation warranted. More than fair, actually. Your insinuation that we owed him a "graceful departure" by keeping him on indefinitely until he had another job (when he's had plenty of time to look) is just absurd.
You act like the AD made him march naked out to his car while grad assistants rang bells and chanted "shame, shame", when what actually happened is that a highly compensated person in a career field that's well known to be highly unstable failed miserably at his job and got fired after being allowed to collect a performance bonus.

Oh, so we're not supposed to believe or discuss other posters' unsourced rumors but it's okay when you throw unfounded inflammatory accusations out there?

The OP wasn't necessarily about Sumlin (he's just one of many examples but he wasn't even mentioned in it on purpose) but your response was entirely about Sumlin and what he specifically needs to do. There are plenty of threads to discuss that but it's not really the topic here despite that being all some want to talk about
Ah, I see.
I did focus on Sumlin, and the specific circumstances of the brouhaha surrounding him. But I think you can generalize to every other sport. Compare the complaints against Billy Kennedy and Rob Childress from a year ago to what we have today. Those coaches aren't doing anything different except winning more.

Do you even double standard bro?

I didn't post it before because I can't prove it. Just as I can't disprove other statements made. It's the internet. I tried to stay generic. You whined that I did. Then when I got specific on something you whined then. At some point you have to pick an argument.

still on different wavelengths.
Opinions can be expressed without the non-stop repeated hyperbole and without attacking people. Nothing to do with expressing opinions or emoting. Nothing to do with winning.

I don't have a single post on page one of this thread, or the second page either for that matter.
But, please, by all means, keep doing this:

Common man! We all know the boosters don't want this to look like it came directly from an Ag. When you want something leaked, you gotta make sure it doesn't come back to you.

You think our boosters are that smart?

It's pretty well known tmc is an 'in the know' guy. If there are things he thinks we should know, he throws us a bone.
When he says something, don't take it with a grain of salt, take it as the truth.
Or to sum it up;

The posts in this thread are a good example of why I try not to accuse LSU fans of being the most emotionally unstable fanbase in college football.

Hey I never claimed emotional stability, just sobriety

When it looked like Kyler Murray might not sign.... The sky is falling
After this year... The sky is falling
Sky gonna be just fine and so will we.
