to be fair, there weren't 64+ spots on the tourney when Shelby was coach.

shite, he was there so long when he started the NIT was still neck and neck with the NCAA tourney in terms of importance.

its tough to compare way back when to now in those terms.

this kind of goes w/how Arky fans were pimping all BB's 10 win years compared to Alverez to which I was like, yea, well, its much easier to win 10 w/12 regular season games and a bowl than it is w/the 11 regular season games that Barry had.

Alvarez actually won a Rose Bowl too when Lloyd Carr, Nick Saban, Gary Barnett, and Gary Cooper were coaching in that conference.

Where is the baseball talk? Where is the hate for tu? WHo's going to Reckling? (I might tomorrow if we lose or Sunday if we make it. Sis is getting married in my backyard tonight)

Hyman didn't tell him to "manage his expectations"?

He wouldn't tell that to this person that, no way. No freaking way. It would be like a mid-level manager telling a board member what to do.

We are upgrading Reed.

It was either Hyman, Kennedy, or Cook (I think it was Cook TBH) that said a while back on TA Radio they are going to start doing a ton of changes inside and out so it doesn't feel like a generic hospital building anymore.

Good. We need better club seating and we need it now. I think that is the only way to get the resources BBall needs to be competitive.

the primary problem is most of the big money has zero expectations for hoops.

It is my theory that they are disconnected from it.

Please correct me if I am talking out of my arse again, but from the BMAs I know it seems that one advantage we have over say Texas is that they are engaged if it is in front of them.

What I mean by that is I have read on other (admittedly non-SEC) forums that their big donors in the boxes treated all the games like social events and barely cared about what was going on. I feel our BMAs are at least engaged in whatever is in front of them and are passionate about ALL Aggie success.

Per that theory, I think if we had club seating at the level Texas does they would go to more bball games. I think if they went more they would be unhappy with the product and be willing to spend the money to fix it (like hopefully baseball).

I could be completely wrong though, as I could just know the BMAs that are engaged in the games.

Sorry Farmer, I didn't mean to derail the thread. I just very rarely get a tmc-level nugget of info so I wanted to share.

I will say as an Aggie in Austin I have heard no shite talk related to this game not on sports radio.

2nd batter ends on on 2nd after an E6

brutal. Mengden has some life on his ball but everything is up right now. Hopefully he gets it together.

They always have interesting announcers come regional time since they broadcast so few baseball games during the year. Then all of the sudden they're doing like 3 a day all weekend

Mengden with his 2nd WP of the inning and the sips score again. The 9 hitter who drew a 4-pitch walk is now on 3rd

Did Stein try to throw him out and put it in CF? We can't be giving away runs like this

There were runners on the corner and Stein tried to throw him out at the plate after the WP. Mengden didn't handle it and the runner went from 1st to 3rd. We got out of it and we're in the T3 now
