Today really showed why Davis is the biggest difference between last year and this. With his 12+ points and 4-5 offensive boards, the game wouldn't have been close. Trocha just does have the muscle inside and Miller, God bless him, is as useful as any of us offensively.

Is it egotistical of me that I took personal offense to this?

Is this the year we break the curse of the #6 ranking?

I would give tavario the business, but I've got no offense in the paint.

I never talk shite about role players, especially after I routinely got dunked on at the rec by many a white bench warmer

Told yah.

Looking at the polls I cannot wait for Maryland to fall on its face. Sure they're 15-1, but they're 15-1 vs the 120th ranked schedule. They have played 1 top 50 team and lost (UNC). They only have 3 top 100 wins and its Princeton, Uconn, & RI.

By the end of the month they'll have played @UM(RPI-47), tOSU(63), NW(112), @MSU(7), IOWA(16), & @tOSU(63).

I'm thinking something like 18-4, which still looks nice, but knocks them off their top 3 ranking.

2-2 with 2 tough ones left. Feel good about this prediction.

I tried to dunk on one of Billy's players at Murray(Ed daniel) , he fouled the shite out of me. The player on my team(zay Jackson, of Walmart hit and run fame) took exception, and Ed told zay In his own words that if I wanted to play with the big boys that's how it would be. Lol...

Ag's played zay earlier this year, I think for BK's alma mater SE LA

Team rankings is projecting us at 26-5 as the most likely finish with an ~80% chance of winning the conference which is slightly down due to UK & UF winning.

The good news is we completely control our own destiny. Everyone is looking up at us by 2 games, so let's just not stumble to the finish line

The bad news is this injury to Davis. A big man with a bad foot is never a good sign. If we are going to have to limit his minutes or hold him out of games, then that is a big concern.

Word at the moment is he is was held out for precautionary reasons. If he is not available for Arkansas that will be a concern going forward.

SMU going down. We very well may move up all the way to top 5 at this rate...percect timing for our impending loss at Arkie

if we are looking at current resumes, I agree

But we went 2-0 this week and our RPI held steady at 8 despite multiple teams in front of us losing*. It's going to be really hard to stay on the 2 line unless we just sweep through everyone because we have so few opportunities to really improve our resume.

Our remaining schedule is weak enough that if we put up even one clunker and there's no real way to recover.

* we actually did bump up just now to 7 with SMU losing too

RPI forecast predicts 26-5 to result in a 10.2 RPI. Solid enough to put us in the 2 conversation but a weaker RPI for a 2 seed.

Last year the top 8 RPI teams got the 1/2s (though they did mix up the 1/2s vs RPI order). Hopefully they mix it up a bit but the guys they reached for later were from the top RPI conferences (B12 in particular) with things like OU getting a 3 seed at 17 RPI
