so ive seen people complain about how we got a bunch of phantom calls in the final minute and i really dont see it. yes, the and one on alex's drive to get it within 2 was suspect. but outside of that, does anyone else see anything? if thats the only suspect call of that whole sequence, i dont really get how you can bitch about that sequence

We definitely "helped" the NIU guard OOB on that last steal that tied it, refs would have been justified calling a foul.
At that point though they had already given up 12 points in 20 seconds so they really have no one to blame but themselves.
What baffles me is why we didn't press in OT, they clearly didn't have the athletes to handle it.

but thats the thing though. we werent reaching, we werent pushing, we were just taking away his space which we have every right to do. i dont know, i guess i just really dont see the foul.

The refs certainly could have called that but it would have been a horrible call as all we did was deny space which is perfectly legal. But they proved a few times they weren't above making absolutely horrible calls including the "and one" on Caruso's bucket and Jalen's 5th.
But if there was a call to make on that baseline play that wouldn't have been horrible (though I'm glad they swallowed the whistle in that spot) it was travel as he moved his pivot foot twice

not often but you can certainly make the argument we should have kept it up til they proved they could beat it.
That said, we had a few guys in foul trouble plus they were in the double bonus. I think that was the thought process as to why we went away from it.

btw, I find it interesting that the 12 points was the most ever overcome in the final minute - and we technically did it in 34 seconds.

I don't think that is quite correct.
06: Cannot find, but at best RV if that.

Wiki shows the 2010 team to be ranked 23rd before the tournament. We lost in the first round.
I'm not sure why they don't have the final rankings on there but you can see the Coach's poll has final rankings and we are in the "dropped out" catetgory.
