Sumlin: 13-11 (6-2, 4-4, 3-5)

Fisher: 16-8 (5-3, 4-4, 7-1)

Assuming we beat Tennessee and Ole Miss - After 26 games

Sumlin: 15-11
Fisher: 18-8

This is meaningless

If Fisher had Johnny......

Like I said meaningless

Sumlin had a once in a generation college qb and receiver combination

I thought I understood the original. I was even shaking my head in the affirmative until I saw your post.

I cant remember back that far, but did we play teams like alabama and florida in the beggining of his 3rd season?

I feel like we started out 5-0 a few times with fluff under sumlin

Fixed it for you. Wasn’t just Johnny and Mike. Swope and EZ were very good college players and swope would’ve played in the NFL if it wasn’t for concussions. C-Mike. And an entire offensive line that went to the NFL.

Yeah give Fisher that and his numbers would likely be far better.

Definitely had two or three 5-0 starts with high rankings where early games were fluff then faded. I was so hyped about Kenny Hill... :(

Fisher is on target to be the first A&M coach to win 9 conference games in one season.

He’s the only coach that has had the opportunity to, right?

Yes, but none have won 8 either, and every coach since 1996 has had THAT opportunity.
