If you're willing to accept a common sense answer, it's likely because it depends on the OC hire. The new guy might be fine with any one of those individuals, he might not be. I don't think anything on assistants will be announced until the OC position is sorted out.

McKinney oversaw our first 1000 yd back since (I think) Cyrus. With a better OL who knows?
Hagan I'm ambivalent about unless the new OC finds a clearly better answer.
Spavital and Christensen definitely need to go. I'll be very disappointed if either is in their current position next year.

Besides, what does the DEFENSIVE TACKLES coach (Hagan) have to do with the OC?
We only need one coach (Price) on the Defensive Line.
