I'm actually more concerned with who the AD is at this point.

Woodward got Chris Petersen to leave Boise State. Whether he ultimately succeeds at Washington is irrelevant. He was THE hot choice for everyone at the time.

If that holds, Woodward could lure Gary Patterson from TCU to lead us to 6-6/8-4 seasons.

Prior to Woodward, Washington had 3 total national titles in all sports. They now have 7.

Liucci is full of shite, this was all but a done deal as of 3 PM today

If it doesn't happen, Meacham left at the alter. Even TCU inside guys thought he was gone, that shite doesn't happen unless there is smoke.

Let this be a learning lesson for the idiot who ran to the rant to proclaim the good news before it was official.

Meh, it made for a fun day.

Here is a funny comment I found on Killerfrogs:

If they really want him, they just need to use promo code #TCU16 at checkout.

Not sure, but I have a pic that absolutely proves Liucci is full of shite saying there was never anything to this. I can't post it because it would basically out my sources.

So... I know you read the same stuff I have throughout the day. Just want you to confirm that I got this nailed now.

Meacham was not a done deal

Sumlin wasn't leaking Meacham for recruiting purposes

The players were not told Meacham was heading to Aggieland

RSJ, Hall, and Reynolds aren't staying because of Meacham

Speedy is not staying because of Meacham

Looch is in the know at least somewhat and still has his pants on

Put it in an anchored thread or use steganography.

Alright Meacham lovers.

Oregon is the 117th worst total defense in the country. Making a comeback on them would be like scoring 38 points on Ball State in one half (which Spavital did this year)!

But to make matters worse, Oregon was just the 3rd worst defense he faced all year. Half of the Big12 teams he faced rank in the 100s in total defense. HALF! So that makes EIGHT teams TCU has played this year that ranked in 100's in TOTAL DEFENSE. EIGHT! (NINE if you add Stephen F. Austin).

Total Defense Rank:

Minnesota - #24
Stephen F. Austin - FCS team
SMU - #119
Texas Tech - #127 (SECOND TO DEAD frickING LAST)
Texas - #107
Kansas State - #106
Iowa State - #108
West Virginia - #61
Okie Lite - #100
Kansas - #128 (DEAD frickING LAST! POSSIBLY WORSE THAN SFA)
Oklahoma - #39
Baylor - #61
Oregon - #117

The best defense Meacham faced all year came from a BigTen team. Now tell me, do you still think Meacham is an offensive mastermind? Because honest to God, had Spavital gotten this schedule, he'd be getting a raise today instead of looking for a job. I'm not advocating to keep Spavital, But I am hopeful that Sumlin will take a pass on Meacham and keep looking for another OC.

Do you really want to put that to the test with me on this board?

I appreciate the effort, feel better already.

At least until the Count does the same thing with Mazzone in a second.

Well, the title of the thread is Rumour Central for a reason.

Who knows if this is a negotiating tactic. Sumlin didn't mind doubt on a possible move to USC before he received a new deal. It's up to him to manage this when he's the one doing the hiring. We'll see how badly he really wants this guy.

They were within 1 point of tying Oklahoma with two backup quarterbacks playing.

Spavital would not have even scored 20 points.

I can't be the only one who has no idea what you're trying to say here. Good, then bad, then good. Or something!
