I am not rewatching the game, so this could be off base, but here goes anyhow: What happened to the quick slant?

Calzada got the yips from watching the tape. At the snap of the ball the kid is bailing the pocket and backing up ... Can't throw a slant that way

his primary evasion mode is reverse. Never seen a guy run backwards so much.

I told you he was terrible after the CO game. Season is lost, unless King is some kind of medical miracle. I don't think Calzada can win a game in the SEC. Fisher needs to take away his ability to audible, because the kid simply cannot read a defense

Reminds me of late-stage Stephen McGee. He was auto "back and to the right" at the first sign of pressure by the time Fran was done with him

He might have taken it to the house. Rare he’s allowed that much green grass.

I told you - Calzada simply cannot read the field. He doesn't have it between the ears, no matter how strong the arm. Look at him not even being able to set his feet before the "covered" throw.

Kid doesn't even look at Achane

You left out "unless he's 7 yards behind the LOS and facing 3 defenders".

We should reminisce about the good times we had with Mond. Jimbo should have more talent on the bench at OB than he does. I hope he never again gets into this situation.

This is the fourth year out of four that Jimbo did not have a capable backup QB prepared to take over in case of an injury.

I would say that Starkel was prepared in 2018, he just epically failed on his only try.

Was King not ready last year? Hard to say. He looked fine in mop up duty vs Bama.

Yeah I guess he was "prepared", but not prepared prepared

He looked better at South Carolina.
