We have a solid team that is much more competitive physically. If we stay healthy, the floor should be 7-5. We could push 9-3 if the secondary gels.

I am curious to see what difference it makes getting Carper and Chattman back over the rest of the season. I wonder if the coaches feel they are better than some of the people we have been playing.

I’ll say we beat State, OM, UAB and Auburn and lose to the corn dogs.

Don’t look now but UAB is gonna be 9-1 when we play and have a stout defense.

Auto Wins: none

Likely Wins: UAB, Ole Miss, Auburn (3-0)

Toss Ups: MSU, LSU (1-1)

Likely Losses: none

Auto Losses: none

4-1 so we end up 9-3 (6-2), in the top 20, and in the mix for an NY6 Bowl.

So 7-5 is now most likely with a huge upset over LSU needed to become 8-4

You fools are overlooking UAB . They didn't get to 9-1 by sheer luck. Sure, they looked terrible last night, but still they aren't a pushover. There's a good chance they give us a good scare.

Heck, maybe even lose.

Wouldn't be much of an upset. LSU is probably better than us, but not by much.

Other than swapping UK and MSU, I’ve been on the money.

#4 Total defense in the country. Combine that with our secondary.

This has the recipe to be a closer than expected game.

Have you looked at their schedule? Horrible, they should be respected but we should not under any circumstances come remotely close to losing to them with our defense

We will win by 21+

21? With Mond???

Nahm it'll be closer than that. It's probably a game we have to put away in the 4th Quarter.

Not with our secondary

Good news is in the fourth fisher will probably tell our DB’s that they have permission to target at will

I think most are expecting a close game

They landed a TON of JUCOs when their program returned last year and have a bunch of juniors and seniors who committed to middle of the pack P5 schools out of HS.

This UAB team should be viewed as a lower tier P5 team rather than a G5 team. This team could probably win 6 games in the B12, ACC or P12. They have a ton of guys who could be starting for average P5 teams.

It wouldn’t be a major upset. They lost at Florida who is at best our equal (with a worse offense and rushing defense). Everything UF does well that made them a bad matchup for LSU we do better.

LSU plays offense in a phone booth and with our rushing defense they simply won’t score enough (barring a bunch of TOs) to win handily. It will be close at the end.

I think it’ll be close but our overall talent should win out. Btw - could somebody here help me with either putting a pic on my sig line and/or under my name. Plus I don’t have any apps to pull pics from.

Thanks for helping a semi old dude.

Sure, but the disparity between posters really isn't much. I said 6-2. If we hadn't aborted the end of the Auburn game (I still have no idea how we lost a game where we gained twice as many yards and twice as many first downs), 6-2 would be looking pretty good right now. And it's still possible, but we'll have to beat LSU.
