Out of curiosity how is it that two sides (specifically LSU and A&M with Matthews and Perkins) can be so confident?

Weigman is enrolling in Jan. He may be able to help Schloss in ‘22. Clearly, he’s doing everything he can to come in and win the job if King & Calzada struggle this year.

I think he’s in a similar boat as Humphrey where it’s wait and see. I’d much rather have Humphrey personally

There are going to be many players that we won’t be interested in this year that the sips will try real hard to spin as head to head wins against us

The Humphrey situation is the only thing I’m willing to question the staff over this cycle. I think he has shutdown corner written all over him and is almost as good as Denver Harris (who we aren’t getting)
Luckily it sounds like he doesn’t mind being slow played but I wish we would just take him and not risk it because I think he’s legit

Elko loves safeties and kids who can play multiple positions, and they feel really good about some of the young corners on campus, I think. (Tyreek, supposedly, is showing himself to be a huge hit at corner.)

Mathews just may happen. Who’s the 4th. Bear said he’s not announcing until later, but it could be a smokescreen. Perkins, I haven’t heard a timeline for. He’d make sense.
