Schools are being given a 1 year reprieve for any seniors who return because of the extra year of eligibility due to covid. The NCAA said this year doesn't count towards your "5 years to play 4", so some schools may have players returning that had not accounted for in their roster management.

Didn't realize that. That's a huge help. Definitely would love to see a couple OL. One of the tackles and Ryan M? I think it'd be huge to keep our center. Wonder if Kenyon will slide out to tackle. Definitely excited to see Layden Robinson get some PT next year.

I see Kenyon Green moving to tackle. If Hocker and McCollum return, I see this lineup:
LT - Kenyon Green
LG - Layden Robinson or Luke Matthews
C - Ryan McCollum
RG - Jared Hocker
RT - Blake Trainor

Who knows. Jimbo has already processed Vaka and Seegars. You could read that as he must be making room for someone he wasn't previously counting on.
Kind of hard to know who that might be, though, since campus visits aren't happening. I guess there is a lot of crootin' by Zoom behind the scenes.

McCollum has struggled with injuries at A&M. Fortunately for him and us, he seems to be staying healthy this year, playing the best he ever has for us, in my opinion.
If he has any aspirations of playing professionally, I think trying to get on an NFL roster after this year might be the best thing for him.

Sounds like Gilbert and Jeudy both signing this week and announcing in January. Both sound pretty good for us

Would make more sense of pushing out the LB commit at the last minute if we are adding extra guys prior to early signing day

I don't recall seeing Earle's name being thrown out around here as a potential flip until the last day or so. It seems to have come out of nowhere. Is he just having second thoughts after the disappointing season in Baton Rouge?
