I hope we get him but it is obvious after last night we need elite talent to keep up with LSU and Bama. Evans is the prototype size and frame we need to compete.

I don’t see how Evans winds up here anyway. LSU has to be a more enticing option right now.

Any idea how the class finish ends up?

Most likely:

LB Antonio Doyle
CB Dontae Manning
JUCO CB Brian George
JUCO CB Ronald Williams
1 running back (either Ngata or EJ Smith)
MAYBE Malik Hornsby

Wonder if we kick the tires on Sam Adams II again now that Peterson stepped down

It's not like he's in Texas. He's in Sammamish. It's a pretty significant muscle movement to get to College Station from this area.

Blake Smith may be more of an important pickup than realized with Beal leaving.

I just don’t like the idea of 2 JUCO CB. If we add Manning the. We will have 2 4* Fr CB this year, 1 4* Fr last year plus 1 4* JUCO last year plus 1 this year. Considering we lose no one that seems plenty. Our CBs sucked but we also had a lot of injuries. I’d rather get another OL.

A&M dropped Josh Ellison.

There are pretty unlikely at this point. We'll likely only take 1 CB, not both JUCOs and it might not even be one of the 2 listed.

It won't show up in the class, but don't be shocked to see OT Shep & CB Carter end up at A&M.

Beal was absolutely terrible this year. He couldn't block or catch.

Rivals can suck a dick. Most of our class had fantastic SR years.

It's the term that was thrown around by perroni. Not entirely sure if he meant greyahirt as I still dont fully understand how those work. The way he made it seem was that he wouldnt enroll until the first day of classes in the fall, would immediately be placed on scholarship, and would have the entire 2020 season to sit and build up. He wouldn't count towards our 2020 class but would count to the 85

Blueshirt is for guys who were not technically "recruited". They can't go on official visits and can't sign a LOI.

It's a new way to sneak people into a recruiting class that you don't have room for. Some speculated that Jimbo might go that route with Devin Price, but he became a traditional recruit.

Greyshirt is what we did with J.J. Gustafson a long time ago. He was a student for a year prior to joining the team so technically he still had 5 years to play 4 years and 4 games.
