He told TexAgs that Jimbo never recruiting him was a sore spot

247 says he will likely end up back here, apparently Clemson wouldn't let him visit without decommitting.
We're about get a five star WR and CB so I won't lose sleep regardless. Also probable we get Ossai and Waddle.

Now that's a nugget. That would be big

if fisher didnt want him before, why would he now? was there DB recruiting that good?

I expect Jimbo will be out on the recruiting trail next week to meet our commits face to face. If he wants this young man, they will talk things over.
Seems like every coaching change results in losing a couple you had, but also picking up a couple you didn't.

Historically much better than ours

How confident are you that we land Marshall? I hear he is all LSU

From the sip 247 page
"Fisher and his staff have had plenty of success recruiting the state of Texas over the last few cycles, landing major Texas targets like Marvin Wilson and Dontavious Jackson. Now, they have the advantage of being local.
Fisher's reputation as a winning coach on a national level definitely resonates with recruits, and he has personal relationships with targets such as Terrace Marshall and Jaylen Waddleas well as defensive tackle commit Keondre Coburn.
If he is retained, assistant Tim Brewster could really shake things up and be a thorn in UT's side. Brewster, a former Texas assistant, has a ton of ties in the Lone Star State and is widely regarded as one of the best recruiters in the country.
If Brewster is indeed on staff, Texas A&M will always be in contention for elite in-state recruits.
One of the biggest question marks for the landscape of UT recruiting in regards to the Fisher hire is whether or not A&M defensive line coach Terry Price will be retained.
From talking to a source, Fisher is going to try to keep Price. And that could spell trouble for Texas. If Price stays, flipping guys like Bobby Brown and Max Wright will be next to impossible.
I'm also told that if Price is retained, four-star edge rusher Joseph Ossai is pretty much a lock to end up at A&M. And with a Fisher-Price combo, it wouldn't be surprising to see Coburn circle back and give the Aggies another look."

Since I don’t pay for any subscription services ... I’d love for guys to share information here within reason ... I know recruiting is a crap shot ... but any updates on our current class plus who Fisher might pursue is more interesting than the crappy bowl game that we are playing. Glad we are getting extra work in.

I see what I can grab for you, within reason
But right now pretty much everything is positive and all signs point to Fisher having a real opportunity to improve on Sumlins already solid class

Also looking at the 247board the only 90 plus rated players favored to commit to us are O’Neal and Ossai. I just don’t see how we finish in the top 10 although I do believe Fisher will be a great recruiter for us.

Thanks bud. Again - only within reason. I get the fact that people pay for this.

It's "within reason" to expect that we grab a couple more guys that have a rating higher than 90 ;)

Sounds like if Price stays (why wouldn't he? He is an Ag). We wrap up a filthy DL class. Wright, Brown, Ossai, Wilson, Coburn, Jackson?, Livingston?
And no matter what we are going to get a unreal receiver haul. Marshall, Waddle, Chapman, Preston, Parker.

I can’t remember the thread I saw the comment in but someone claimed that Brewster was going to accept a position with fisher, but I searched and couldn’t find any info supporting that. Any truth to it?

I had heard that and apparently there was some stuff in the twitterverse about it.
But the bottom line is he cant accept until jimbo is named head coach and he resigns from FSU. None of that can happen until Monday at the earliest.
I expect our staff to be assembled very quickly.

1) anyone who considered us but is committed elsewhere is open game in reality.
2) we should expect some Florida players who developed relationships with Jimbo to give us a strong look
