Idk much about him but going from HC to Assistant is wild.

So essentially we're trending towards a reshuffled 2021 Arizona State staff. Feels very small time

Washington wasn't paying him jack and they're off to a bad baseball conference. Not a terribly surprising move in this new landscape of Power 2 Conferences (SEC/ACC in baseball, SEC/B1G in football)
Basketball (men's & women's) seems to be the only major college sport that has anything resembling a sustainable national landscape

If this new AZ St staff is inking you... look at the ages and realize they all have had 2 promotions since then. Don't forget that browns staff w belicheck n saban that sucked. But seriously they were all in the SEC for a while since then and have some recruiting skins on the wall in recruiting.

I thought Kelly was at LSU longer than 1 yr.... my bad. Now to find some u tube interviews n hopefully see if he sounds flexible or stubborn w new pitchers

Fair. I'm not a fan but a lot is left TBD and obviously it's all talk until we see the product they put on the field

Been out of pocket, missed the coaching mess, but looks like we’ve made a good move with Earley

So hiring a guy who was national assistant coach of the year in 2018 is a bad thing? It appears that he has a track record of getting the most out of what he has at his disposal. And here, he's going to have a lot to work with.

I never said it was a bad thing, just underwhelming. We made a comfort hire, and he subsequently made a bunch of his own comfort hires.

I’d assume this helps us with the belyue guy in the portal for tu? (Excuse the spelling)

That is the rumor. He's projected as a 1st rounder in 2025. This wouldn't be Montgomery big, but its not far off.

Listening to Targac on TA... and this one pisses me off. Schloss told him that he didn't care and didn't want to be here.

Glad that PoS is gone. I'd rather have a less-talented but younger and hungry coach that is vested in the success of this program.

Interesting spin after someone leaves.. lots of negatives about a person are claimed. Sour grapes normally.
In this case with the number of players that are staying with this turmoil and the support coming out for our new coach... .there seems to be something to Schloss not being liked and/or being an arse.
Starting to think Schloss leaving might turn out to be a major blessing.

We should have known something was up when no one followed him from TCU. Now it looks like no one will follow him to tu.
Regardless of how much comes out about what a shitbag Schloss is, he's an extremely successful baseball coach. It's good to get that fricker out of here, but Earley needs to win and win big.
