DVH is RC 2.0. They both came from Nebraska together, right?

I am not sure we can pull any of those. We were able to pull Jimbo and Buzz because there was something going on that made them available that normally wouldn't have been the case. In Jumbo's case it was tension with the AD over facilities. Buzz was his love for the state & A&M. We'll need to find some issue to bring in a huge name.

Gun to my head, I would say our next coach would be someone similar to Saarloos. Ties to the area. Plus assistant. Ready to make a jump.

Yes, DVH was the HC and RC was his pitching coach.

DVH has 7 CWS appearances as a HC and got within a foul ball of a title. His longest career Omaha drought has been 4 years which happened exactly 1 time.

Darren Erstad just resigned as Nebraska's coach. Does this open the door for _.C. to take it?

@CWS_247

Just heard from a source that Texas A&M offered former Oregon State head coach Pat Casey the head coaching job 2 weeks ago. This position is currently held by Rob Childress who is rumored to be Nebraska’s top candidate.

Doubt this is real but here's your Jimbo hire.

These two stats paint the perfect picture of this team:

ERA - #3

Scoring - #196

Throw in this stat, just for fun:

Batting Average - #240

"Defense wins championships" does not work in baseball.

____

Compare:

LSU:
ERA - #130
Scoring - #67
Batting Average - #124

Ole Miss:
ERA - #89
Scoring - #48
Batting Average - #93

Duke:
ERA - # 67
Scoring - #113
Batting Average - #128

Vanderbilt:
ERA - #35
Scoring - #5
Batting Average - #4

Texas Tech:
ERA - #51
Scoring - #14
Batting Average - #17

Miss State:
ERA - #19
Scoring - #8
Batting Average - #5

Arkansas:
ERA - #49
Scoring - #16
Batting Average - #23

Georgia: GONE
ERA - #5
Scoring - #92
Batting Average - #131

Louisville:
ERA - #29
Scoring - #15
Batting Average - #37

UCLA:
ERA - #1
Scoring - #31
Batting Average - #61

Oregon State: GONE
ERA - #2
Scoring - #149
Batting Average - #166
Look familiar?

Stanford: GONE
ERA - #11
Scoring - #47
Batting Average - #74

Maybe I am reading these stats wrong, but pitching means JACK shite if you don't have even shitty batting, much less batting that is NOT shittier than at least 200 other programs.

Offense wins baseball championships. All day long and twice on Sundays.

frick pitching first bullshite. No bats. NO JOB!!!!

oh I dunno. Fans overlook things.

But honestly I meant it a bit as a joke. He's from Oregon. He went to school in Oregon. He's never coached in any state but Oregon. He retired after winning his 3rd title.

I guess if you are looking, you ask but might as well put Ray Tanner on the list. But I doubt we've reached out to anyone even if the decision had been made.

I think we're probably stuck with Childress for another season, because his name is the type that is getting tossed around, instead of a real option.

If he gets a fricking raise because "we don't want to lose him to Nebraska" then Bjork is a failure before he even takes the job.
