I was told he was the next coach a week ago. Watching Liucci defend this PoS, it is starting to look not only possible but probable. And if A&M hires this a-hole with so many good options available, then the boosters deserve what is coming
Traylor is hated in many circles, and half the team will leave. Recruiting class will all choose other options as well. He’s a low-rent Big12 coach at the best. Clear enough for you?

Btw, I will tell you a few things. I know some of the sip boosters. They want Traylor at A&M for two reason. One, they expect him to fail, and they will own the state in recruiting. Push A&M back down to irrelevance. Two, if he actually succeeds against the odds, then they will just hire him. Traylor is a born and bred sip. He has spent his entire career bad-mouthing A&M football and pushing recruits elsewhere.
His recruiting sucks. He’s hated by a good number of coaches in the state, and seen as a pompous, arrogant arse. He used his own son to torpedo A&M recruiting when he was on Charlie Strong’s staff. It is well known in THSCA circles that he hates A&M. Direct quote. “A bunch of dorky ****s. Why would anyone go there?”
Sounds like the guy I want on the sidelines.

You’ll have to forgive me for not hating the guy cause he bad mouthed A&M while at a rival in state school.
As I stated before I don’t know the history of him that well, but I’m not gonna be upset he wasn’t raising the A&M banner while at Texas. Seems just kinda part of it

He hated A&M long before Charlie Strong’s staff. Still does to this day, but sees us as a stepping stool to what he really wants. Talk to any HS coach and they will tell you

This is the first coaching hire I have ever been so worried about. All previous hires I was excited to see who it was going to be but nor worried. This one has me sick to my stomach.

I find that search feels similar to this one. Paid a guy a bunch of money who looked like a sure fire hit and wound up settling for a wtf hire. Hopefully it doesn’t end the same way this time.

This is the first true national search Bily has seen A&M do for HC.
Names like Liepold, DeBoer, Smith OrSt, Fisch Ari, Day, Dabo.
They have interviewed a ton of people and the interest has been huge.
Billy said he pays attention out west. Lots of stuff to sift through.
After listening I really think Traylor is bottom of the barrel. If it's him it means we didn't get who we wanted

He also said he wouldn't be surprised if the HC is named before our game against LSU.

Yeah. The way I heard that is those in the know would know and the announcement would come afterwards. But he did say the timeline is pretty quick. (This time next week)
Listening to it I really think Smith at OrSt or Rhule are the likely choices. But as usual who knows.
