I agree that we all got spoiled because of Johnny, but Kyle is a very good QB, he's just a more traditional QB.

SC defense made Kevin Hogan look dynamic...

So that ASU QB (Boscovici ) should be ok.

Not against ASU.

(Ball State and Nevada don't count)

Once we beat Arkansas and Miss. State, the energy level will get very high again.

MSU worries me, they shredded Chavis last year and they run a similar offense to Nevada with a lot more talent.

i haven't watched yall very much since the arizona st. game. are yall really concerned about your team? yall are probably just playing down to your opponent, no cause for concern.

At least we lead the country in both tackles for loss and sacks.

That's a plus.

You read the OP right?

Our coaches goals for the last two games haven't been to put 70 on a cupcake.

We've been trying to build depth of game experience for 3 deep players, this will pay off. We have also been working on different schemes, routes, ect.

I don't doubt for a second that we could have hung 100 on. Ball State or 70 on Nevada if all we did was play the plays we know we are great at.

But that would do nothing but make other conference coaches jobs easier

They shouldn't worry you. MSU and Auburn have both made LSU look good. But LSU really hasn't been tested by a great team yet, and Auburn is bad.

LSU is the only real opponent MSU has faced and MSU looked very suspect for much of that game.

So with regards to MSU vs LSU, you only have two options:
1. Both are awesome and top ten teams
2. Both are average with a couple of weaknesses and one or two good strengths
(LSU's being LF and the o line, States being Dak)

I'm not concerned, we've done what we needed to do against the competition we've faced. And spent the rest of our efforts on increasing depth and making our play book a bigger puzzle for conference foes

It's just too early to get a read on almost ALL teams, particularly those who haven't gotten into conference play. Even if ASU isn't a good team, they're still a P5 team. They usually fall in the 20s to 30s in the recruiting rankings, and Graham is a good coach. We passed that test with flying colors.

There are some legit areas for concern, such as issues protecting the QB. But my sense of the past two games is that we've been experimenting to see what would work.

This next stretch of four games will tell us who we are, though, so we won't have to wait long.

Elite teams have depth. We haven't had the depth until recently.

We have also been working on different schemes, routes, ect.

And that isn't easy especially when your two QB's have completely different styles (pro-set Kyle vs. dual-threat Kyler). OL blocking schemes are totally different in the two systems.

And that would also make us Baylor.

I still think the range is between 8-4 (MSU being the fourth loss, though their close game against LSU was due to LSU not being able to play their opening game) and 10-2 (Ole Miss being the surprise win; they got a lot of their points off of turnovers, take those and the fluke bounce TD away and they only had 14 points).

There are some things that concern me, but a lot of our fans are expecting perfection. I said 9-3 before the year and I haven't changed my outlook. The things that concern me (OL play, RB depth, inconsistency on D) are not going to make us 7-5 team or anything unless the wheels really fall off. It will just keep us from truly contending for the West this year

I can definitely agree with that. My prediction going in was 10-2. If everything falls right I can definitely see that happening, but 9-3 would be a damn good year for us this year.

I think we have a chance to contend. But honestly that's gravy. 9-3 plus a bowl victory to get to 10 wins, which allows us to keep recruiting well. I think we're at our low point re: OL play, and things will get better as our recent classes mature. Ford/White/Bussey/(Bradford?Whaley?Speights?) will be a significant upgrade at RB. Allen/Murray are true Jr. and So., respectively. And honestly, we've probably recruited even BETTER on the defense than we have on the offense.

Things should set up really well for us next year personnel wise. The schedule and competition level in the west sets up beautifully this year for us but I just don't think we are there yet

If we make big strides in those areas I mentioned I guess there's a chance, I should have qualified it with a slim chance maybe instead of saying no chance.

I would say 9-3 is the minimum. 10-2 more likely. Yall will win one at least between LSU, Ole Miss, and Bama

I'd like to see our Arkansas and MSU game first, but I agree.
