$1.3 Million/year.

In 2011-2012, he won 14 games ($92857/win) overall and 4 games ($325,000/win) in conference

In 2012-2013, he's won 12 games ($108333/win) overall and 2 games ($650,000/win) in conference.

Buyout is only $500,000. Surprisingly cheap compared to the empty seats we'll see in Reed if he's still the coach next year.

This goes to show that A&M went dumpster diving for a head coach when we made the hire.

We weren't willing to spend the money necessary to hire a quality coach with a proven track record.

How many years are we stuck with Kennedy on the contract, and how much is the buyout?

We signed him to a 5 year contract and his buyout is half a million. By Byrne's standards that's not too terrible.

The buyout number is much lower than I would have guessed.

This makes the decision much easier, in my opinion. If you're in Hyman's position, why wouldn't you want to make your own splash hire?

What's the incentive to sticking with Kennedy? There will be some roster turnover as a result, but it's not like Kennedy's presence hasn't already chased away players.

That'll be down to $60k by the end of the season. Probably better than Turgeon's rate.
