i know that was a legit question from CC, but its going to be painfully predictable how quick tiger fans, as well as everyone else are, to jump on us for not winning more than 8 games these first two years of a rebuild.

That's the only thing that I am "concerned" about. Aggies are easy going people. I've never met one that gets mad about football win or lose.

Haha, they may not publicly say much but privately they do. Either way we can’t afford a Jimbo buyout so worrying about it is trivial. Let the man coach and enjoy the ride

You know that was 100% a Texags fabrication right?

I absolutely love that within a couple hours of looooch basically going all in, reports then came out aranda was staying.

Even if he did have the scoop this thing went to public today. If it wasn’t Alleva related (leaks)... expect Aggie insiders to lose some trust w/Jimbo

It all depends on who we actually hire. If it's a huge step down and we don't finish strong in recruiting then we won't look back on today fondly.

If you get him, great, but if not you’re currently making LSU pay another 1.2 million for a DC that was going to stay there without this offer anyways.

#LSU DC Dave Aranda's new average salary ($2.5M) is at least more than 80 of the 130 FBS head coaches in America. It is also $800,000 (47%) more than the next highest paid assistant from this past year.
Force them to pay

I don't subscribe to TexAgs premium and never have, for a number of reasons. First of all, the information there is rarely anything that can't be found on the free pages or in the newspaper. Second, any "inside" information is rarely all that inside. And third, my wife and I are both Aggies and have learned to downplay our fandom more and more, through the years.
I no longer have season tickets, and haven't been to a game in several years. The experience of going to Kyle Field is no longer new or novel to me, and attending the game just costs us hundreds of dollars and always tends to result in disappointment and heartache.
We have learned to focus our resources elsewhere.
While I deeply love TAMU, and follow numerous sports rather closely, I will not push it on my daughter. Sure, she "wants" to be an Aggie, but if she can get into Rice she's going there. And if she cannot get into A&M, I have no problem sending her to LSU, Arkansas, or Auburn.
The point I'm trying to make is that we don't have anything "unique" at TAMU. Sure, we hired Jimbo Fisher, but he hasn't won anything yet, and history tells us that he won't.
The fact that we still do not have a DC tells us that Jimbo will have a very short honeymoon, and that once mid ranked recruiting classes and 8-4 seasons start stacking up we will be about where we are historically - no better and no worse.
I'm very apathetic, and not getting Arnada doesn't surprise me. I've come to expect that, getting Jimbo being the outlier. We have a systemic culture of athletic underachievement, and it's going to take more than Woodward, Fisher and Buzbee's checkbook to fix that.

Yes! Sorry, I just didn't know where to post it.
I will say that it is semi-related to Jimbo Fisher's staff....but I digress.
