so just used my buddy's aggieyell account: two different posters over there (who both have very rarely ever posted in over 15 years on the site) claimed to have heard its Aranda. Just like with chavis, he was the one that reached out to us.

I want it to be so bad but there's no way

Any more detail given, such as why Aranda would reach out to A&M? His buyout is so steep...

If he wanted to leave LSU that badly I would think he would/can jump to the NFL

Double melt....like a double rainbow. It would be delicious

Also, wouldn't Bama be a better job for him? Couple of seasons with Saban and he can write his own ticket.

I still think it's Don Brown

After thinking about it, Aranda going to A&M is just too good to be true, therefore it can't be. Everything I've read suggests he has no issues with LSU. He makes $1.8 million, has good players to coach, Orgeron expresses man-love for him whenever Aranda's name is mentioned, his family likes it there.
More important, can you imagine the repercussions of him leaving LSU for Aggieland? Coach O and Alleva would be tarred and feathered before being run out of red stick.

Didn’t he just sign an extension with a clause stating any college within 500 miles would have to pony up 40 percent of it.
My issue - if he’s the ‘“11” slam dunk hire. Why frick his new employer? And supposedly the HC and AD knew about it?

That's right. I think his buyout would be something like $2.3 or 2.4 million.

That will REALLY get their French bloodline boiling

The only reason I think it’s possible is that everyone (even the most die-hard kitten fan lying in the dark at night) knows Orgeron is not long term. I’ve heard Canada is about to leave and nobody is sure who’s coming in.
Ags can sell Fisher and stability... right?

That’s pretty much the rub. I’ve also heard a couple of times that Aranda is getting similar issues with the AD that Chavis had and that everyone (as in their own regents) thinks Orgeron won’t last more than two seasons. If Orgeron gets fired in 2019, Alleva is gone too and they’ll be starting from scratch. That’s not necessarily because everyone wants Alleva out, but because the half that do want Alleva gone are going to make it a prerequisite before hiring a new coach.
The writing is on the wall. The AD interferes. The head coach has riffs with his coordinators. Aranda gets left alone for the most part, but in general I speculate he pretty much thinks he’s working for a fricking idiot and that he could do a better job.

I like Canada. I don't think he's some irreplaceable guy, but I would like some continuity going into next season. Especially considering we're going to have a new quarterback and running backs next season.
Our O-line will be great and our receivers will be very good as a unit, but a new OC and new quarterback could be a little tough.
Luckily the defense should be very good.
