so i think i just heard a report saying we owe sumling 10.4 million within 60 days, whether or not he finds another job. i thought we were supposed to negotiate his buyout down?

I would imagine the whole point of negotiating the buyout down would be not leaking that sensitive information. And saying the buyout was reduced would raise questions as to why. So I doubt it will ever be announced either way.

Roger also said we were hiring Dough Meacham as OC (who ended up at Kansas) and Sumlin would be fired with cause in 14/15. His sauces don't always bring the heat.

FSU certainly seems to have some issues that are independent of Jimbo, and I know the feeling was that the accusers story had a lot of holes and it’s natural to believe your boy, but.....?

this jimbo hire is strange to me because i'm not really sold on him one way or the other, mainly because i don't know much about him or the type of coach he is,i've seen maybe one FSU game in the past 10 years, but i find myself wanting this thing to go through because of what it says about our program, and a possible sea change with those in charge going all in and actually getting it done.
on the flip side, if we end up missing on fisher, in such a national way, and then strike out on the next 1 or 2 big names and settling for a chad morris we will deserve the ridicule, and the aggy jokes will be a flyin'.

Negotiations are done by AD, finalized in closed session, and approved by final contract in open session.
