The buyout for Sumlin was 10.4 million

Exactly, I bet you half of the football coaches in college football drink heavily. Also, if Sumlin's drinking problem was such a big deal then Arizona State wouldn't be hiring him.

Yeah, that's kinda the point.

There was a former assistant coach that used to put down a handle of whiskey at the team hotel before every road game. Not condoning it, but there are “functioning” alcoholics in almost every workplace

I was thinking a week. That would be nice if it happened that fast.

Texas A&M is moving quickly with their head coaching search. Noles247 has been informed by a reliable source that the Aggies have made an offer to Jimbo Fisher. I have not been told the exact details of the deal, but it’s likely in the range of 7-7.5 million per year. There’s been no confirmation that he’s accepted, although there are reports out of Houston saying an agreement is imminent.
We are told the ball is now in FSU’s court. It’s on the 'Noles administration to decide whether to let him walk, match or counter. A counter offer may not be strictly salary based. It could include more money for FSU’s assistants, facilities or off-field resources.
The timeline on this has certainly been sped up by how quickly A&M has moved. At this moment we can not rule out Fisher leaving for A&M. We’ve been told FSU has done some due diligence on possible replacements if Fisher is to leave.
We’ll continue to update the situation as more info becomes available.

Yeah, I thought he was going to have to settle for way less than the 10 mil???
As much as CSPD are sticklers for every moving/parking law in the book, I still have a hard time believing #1 as we were speculating the other day. The other stuff is hard to prove for the AD and not likely they take action on it anyways. As others have said, most coaches probably hit the bottle to some degree, we are gonna crucify him for having a good time at spav’s wedding?

If he settles, it'll likely be over the amount that goes to #YESSIR LLC and a payment plan instead of a lump sum.
IIRC, 1.5 million of his salary went to #YESSIR LLC (don't know why, but that's how it was set up). I'm assuming that's what we'll try to dispute.
