No I knew from the moment the Aranda talks started he wouldn't take the job. When you started pushing out bullshite about LSU, and why he would, that I know for a fact has no merit is where I got butthurt. So now I'm emotionally invested in seeing who the Defensive Coordinator at A&m is going to be. Howdy.

As long as you're admitting you are butthurt

Just so you know, I wasn't blowing smoke though.

80% chance our DC will be identified tomorrow so you won't have to be here much longer.

I'm starting to compose myself and I don't think you were blowing smoke per se just wildly misinformed. But to each his own. Doesn't really matter anyway.

I don't think he was wildly misinformed. There is so much that goes on that only the two people involved truly know. Maybe he showed interest maybe he didn't, we'll never know the truth. All I know is this is the most closed mouthed coach search ever at A&M. As long as the hire has a good track record I'll be happy.

Might be mistaken, but I don't recall anyone (in the news media or website subscription racket) correctly predicting that Fisher would hire former Memphis OC Dickey as his OC at A&M. Not that Memphis didn't have a pretty good offense, it just wasn't a name being thrown around.

So a part of me thinks it will be the same for the DC. Not a man people are talking about.

Fisher seems to like to operate like he is in charge of the CIA. Very secretive guy who keeps his own counsel.

The only difference I can think of is the fact that Jimbo is an offensive guy himself. So, not that Dickey isn't a badass coach, but he didn't have to shell out the big bucks to get a big name OC because Jimbo will be actively involved in the offense.

Getting a top notch DC is a little more important strictly because the defense will largely be the DC's responsibility.

Plus, Chin Pubes has been adamant that the hire is an 11/10. So it sounds like it will be a big name coach

Jimbo will call plays for the most part.

If we end up running up the costs of our rival’s coaches and we still get a good up and comer I am cool with that.

Who is Texas’s DC? Why don’t we throw some money at him too?

That dude should get in more internet fights with Taylor Hamm or Jeff Ketchum. Those Twitter fights are worth the $11.99 he charges people.
