Focused on a few things and it isn't as bad as it seems.

First, our offensive line is clearly a liability. Many of us thought that after game 1 but a few sunshine pumpers on this board said NM was stacking the box to stop the run.... whatever. They are what I though they were and what a lot of others on this board thought they were. Below average.

Unfortunately Miami's Dline is probably top 10 in the country. They owned our line but we still managed just over 430 yards of offense. I attribute this to Petrino and his play calling. CW was fine considering the relentless pressure he was under the entire game. Burned timeouts, illegal procedure in red zone, idiotic receiver decision to retreat when he had a first in the red zone, etc.. just added to the mistakes being made..

Secondary is concerning but with TV coverage it is hard to really see what is happening. Looked like confusion and hesitation reigned the day from what I could tell. Of course rushing just 4 (sometimes just 3) and giving Miami all the time in the world to pick the secondary apart was a disaster in waiting the entire game. For some reason we really only pressured one drive in the second half and it paid off. Got away from it on the next Miami posession. Big play after big play for Miami passing. Not sure why Durkin didn't adjust or try pressuring more. Durkin needs to be getting heat this week.

Overall my takeaway is despite our oline the offensive production wasn't that bad. Last year we would have had 250 total yards with our antiquated offensive scheme against that defense. Petrino is clearly making a big difference. The Miami Dline vs our Oline was the worst possible matchup for us and it showed. Not sure we will have a worse match up in the SECw. LSU is probably closest.

I'm not a Fisher fan but not sure he should be taking the heat for this game. Offense was fine considering our poor oline. We scored enough to win with a competent D. Fisher isn't the DC. This game was lost by the D. I see 2-3 more losses right now unless the oline play gets significantly better.

Season isn't over. We just need to win the next 3... and welcome in Bama and see what happens. We can beat Bama, they have their own issues.

But he did hire the DC, and although bad hires can and do happen. For this to be and issue in year 6 when you’re already on a hot seat ain’t good

I’m not by any means in the blame Jimbo completely category but he’s not absolved of Durkins horrendous game.

The unfortunate part is that 4 of the remaining top 10 are on our schedule.

I'll be honest, this reads just like some of the commentary after the 2021 game vs Colorado where we were trying to convince ourselves a 10-7 win wasnt some precursor to how that season was going to play out, and that Colorado was probably going to be a good team in the Pac-12 that year....

I'll say I dont disagree with too many of your points, but the problem is, they're the same problems we had last year. If they havent been fixed this year, why would they get fixed in the future? Nothing I've seen in the last 3 years shows me Fisher can run a successful program and have us competing for SEC championships on a semi regular basis.

Agreed. Why hasnt this been fixed since it was a big issue last year? Why is Addazio still a coach here? Even Sumlin fired Christainsen after one season of terrible O-line play because he saw the writing on the wall. Our offensive line has a lot of starts under their belts now.

Miami is definitely better than last year, but I'd tap the brakes a little bit on convincing ourselves we just lost to a really good team (see colorado '21).

Agreed, but again, these are the same complaints as last year. Durkin never brings pressure and we rarely rush more than 4 and our secondary gets picked apart. Why have there been no changes????

Disagree, several scores came off of short fields, our offense disappeared in the middle of the game and only started putting up points when Miami started playing more of a prevent defense.

Look, I know Miami is a far better team than New Mexico, but it was like watching an entirely different team. Almost like Fisher was back calling plays, we didnt start throwing deep until we got way behind in the second half. Why is it I can watch 50+ other teams on any given saturday take multiple shots downfield during their game, but A&M struggles to throw a few passes over 15 yards? It's maddening.

It's his program, in year 6. If someone had said in 2017, you'll be in year 6 without at least a conference championship, would we have hired Fisher? No. He hasnt met expectations, and thats on him, hes had plenty of time/resources.

Bro, we aren’t that bad. We are getting better each week.

We dominated Hogs but had numerous turnovers and missed FGs. Second half interception TD was on Ainias..

We clean up a few issue on offense and we can play with just about anyone.

We are going to beat Bama. You heard it here first right after Miami. We match up well with Bama.

We looked pretty good this weekend. Defense and run game are nice. QB play is unpredictable. I’ve been watching Aggie football for 30+ years now, so I probably wouldn’t believe we had won a NC until a few days later.

Defense looks good. Durkin blew it against Miami by not pressuring...will never understand what he was thinking. Offense is looking much better. The concern I have is that we are sputtering at times. Did it against Auburn and definitely did it against Hogs. We should have had 12 to 14 more points in both games and also against Miami.

It's small stuff on offense but they continue to hurt us. We are kicking too many FGs and missing a few too many on top of that. Is anyone not holding their breath when our FG unit is on the field? We can get away with 3+ FGs against Auburn and Hogs. Can't do it against Bama, Tenner, Ole Miss, and LSU.

Undoubtedly offense is getting better each game but we need to correct a few things and start converting more TDs instead of FGs. In a good position to beat Bama as we match up pretty well except for our oline vs their dline. Going to trust Petrino to dial up something unexpected.

Our front 7 are going to put all kinds of pressure on the Bama oline and that offense. Going to be a hell of a game.

Taking Ags 28-24.

I really think Bobby P is having to relearn a few things but I see growth and I’m liking the progress

We will see if this team improved at all against Alabama. Arkansas and Auburn are both terrible this year. Hell, from what I can tell the entire West is terrible.

Not going to watch this weekend, since two weekends in a row of not watching resulted in wins.
