Regardless of what happens tomorrow with the committee and in the playoff (if we make it), our 20+ years wandering in the college football desert are over. This is as high on our program as I’ve ever been, including after 2012. That team clearly had one player covering up a bunch of flaws and a total lack of depth, and while Sumlin’s fall was greater than I think anyone could have envisioned then we are clearly in a better spot now. Our philosophy, our recruiting, our financial commitment, everything is superior today then it was then.

This is just the beginning

We are pretty firmly in the 2nd tier of college football. Which is fine. We are probably going to consistently have 9-3, 10-2, type seasons

Recruiting is nowhere near the level we need it to actually get on the level of Bama and OSU and clemson but it's definitely going in the right direction

Agreed. The future is so incredibly bright. Recruiting at the line of scrimmage, player development, program discipline and approach. Just incredible and everyone should be super stoked about the future.

ND is getting hammered. This has been our best shot of getting in. ND was NEVER going to beat a full strength Clemson. Not really sure why anyone was even thinking ND might beat Clemson today.

This is the first domino to fall. Bama beating UF will be 2nd domino. Ags have a very good shot of getting in but nothing guaranteed still.

I think 22 could change that though. If Texas is as deep as everyone says, and we clean up, it could be a turning point to get into the top tier.

We are already kind of starting behind with ewers and burton gone and Denver Harris feeling Ohio state but yes, we should still do fine elsewhere considering how things are shaping up

A&M is only going to get better from here on out. No matter what happens, I am looking forward to next year

We’re recruiting better than Clemson was when they went to the title game back to back years in 2015 and 2016. They didn’t become the recruiting juggernaut they are now until after Watson left.

So Notre Dame gets their butt kicked and they still get in?

Fair enough. We are eventually going to have to have to breakthrough and beat Bama for it to really ratchet up but we are going in the right direction

We need a game changer type QB (like Watson) to win a natty at the level we’re recruiting. King has the raw ability to be that, we will see what happens.

We can compete with any team in the country in the trenches on both sides of the ball and it is crazy to say that. Should be able to for the foreseeable future too. Just need to improve at QB and the skill spots on both sides

Yes. They are Notre Dame. Rules do not apply to them

I am not trying to be a Debbie downer but we really don’t. They will keep ND at 4. I would be stunned if we get in

To be clear I think Ag# have a 50/50 shot of getting in only IF ND falls out. To your point it very well could be ND stays in at 4. Might usher in some changes to selection/invitation if ND gets in and is waxed by Bama to the tune of 35 to 40+ points. Might start discussions of expanding to 6 or 8 teams in ernest. 3 and 4 aren’t hanging with Bama and maybe even Clemson.

I completely agree and think Bama waxes ND. Just don’t see them putting us in over them though. They set it up putting Clemson ahead of us to drop ND to that spot even if they got destroyed today. Just my opinion.

It will be Bama Clemson Ohio State ND to prevent the Clemson ND rematch

Notre dame is a 1 loss non conference champion that got blown out by a lesser ranked team than Bama

Logic should say we are in

And we are a non division winner whose best win lost to LSU and will most likely end up with 3 losses

I'm not trying to be overly negative with this but the odds of us getting in are veeerrrryyy small
