Embace as the game ended

Anyone else notice the embrace between Kyle and Speedy as the clock hit zero? I thought it was a really cool moment, and almost signified the "changing of the guard." Those two will be essential parts of our program going forward.
Probably didn't deserve its own thread, but oh well.

I saw Speedy running up and down the sideline trying to get people pumped all night. He is the leader of this reborn team.

Embrace I was referring to

these two are the leaders we need to emerge. Speedy is about as competitive as Manziel. Kyle definitely seems like someone people will gravitate to and he's football 24/7. These two hang out together a lot also.

Definitely a worthy heir to wear the #2.

I also embraced dudes when we won - some who I knew, some I had no clue who they were

Does anyone know why Speedy wears that loose-fitting, long-sleeve undershirt, when everyone else seems to wear the skin-tight ones?
It looks a bit old-school, and I was womdering whether there is a story to go with it.

Reynolds wore one for a few games also. I couldn't really think of any reason other than to maybe hide their tattoos on national TV.

Because it looks awesome

I noticed that too, and I think that's the point. He's easy to pick out.
I bet you'll see half the kids doing it in a year or two to copy him.

Hadn't thought of this. That's actually very smart, if true.
Probably has more to do with the "look," though, if I had to guess.
Either way, it's whatever works for him!

I'm happy with it, as long as 'the look' doesn't cause fumbles.

Agreed.
He has yet to put the ball on the ground, though, if I'm not mistaken. Which is more than we can say for some of his non-sleeved teammates
Whatever works, I guess.

he actually muffed a punt this week. He quickly grabbed it though. Honestly Speedy's hand-eye coordination is maybe more impressive than his athleticism.

Ah that's right.
And yeah his hand/eye coordination is freakish. He is so much fun to watch.

I read somewhere that the receivers were saying that the skin tight under armour shirts were really slippery and made it hard to control the ball. The cotton allowed for a better grip.
