We are a fricking basketball school. Shut it down.

I look at Texags tonight and I'm finally proud of our fanbase.

For the first time ever, there are no excuses. There is finally a demand for and expectation of something better. Gabe frickING Bock is even on the Fire Sumlin wagon.

This program may yet rise up someday

A year too late. Myles Garrett could have player coached 9 wins. What a waste of potential momentum.

I'm sure the manatee with the chin pubes will be there any second to "correct" him.

Baby steps, but I agree many are late to the party.

I pretty much came to terms with it after Bama 2014. Good coaches just don't let that happen. Mizzu 2014 was when I became public about firing Sumlin. None of his bells and whistles have changed my mind since.

So how much can we negotiate the buyout down?

I see the $15 million number being thrown around. Does that map out to $5 million a year for 2017, 2018, and 2019 and the 2019 season is the last year we are currently on the hook for by contract?

Like I said last year, if we want to get nasty and burn bridges we can really frick Sumlin over. Like "he'll never be a head coach again" type stuff.

He'll settle and we'll sign a non-disclosure agreement

Yes. The 6-year contract was signed after the 2013 season.

Lol what was smu record before he got there?

1-11 and June pretty much quit trying in 2012 after Arizona State decided at the last minute to rescind his contract offer.

If we go after Chad Morris I'd be completely on board. It's impressive that he has SMU at 5 wins in year 2 with the talent that June left.

I'd be comfortable too giving the guy a chance. frick it, why not?

But only after we know we have been shut down by Chris Petersen, Chip Kelly, Justin Fuente, and other coaches who show potential.

frick, I'd even go full Longhorn retard and test the Saban waters. He looks bored at Bama and has said how he wished his fanbase was as classy as ours in the past. One can only hope.

He straight up said A&M can't continue to accept Sumlin's failures.

Liucci will not be pleased

I hated Dennis Franchione on a cellular level by the time he was fired. Sumlin is getting there.

It's hard to watch someone take something you love and just suck all enjoyment out of it.

It was widely known June didn't like to recruit.

Aggie Chad is the type of guy that could be lightning in a bottle.

I don't care if we don't get this next hire right, I just want to see the mentality we need. If we go out and hire an established high floor-low ceiling coach I will be sick.
