First of all, I think at that point, Chavis really was a longshot. I think Looch probably was hearing a lot of names and Chavis wasn't one of them. Black Friday was really the sign that Sumlin was getting somewhere.
But I also think Looch tries to sound informed a lot, and usually his gambles pay off because he does have a lot of information (that he can't necessarily release).

He's arrogant enough to think it's about him.

McKinney was a terrible RB coach. Glad to see him walk.
While we are in the business of getting rid of shitty stuff and bringing in good stuff, can we get rid of Pepsi and bring Coca-Cola back?!?!

If he did it wasn't listed on his bio or anything on the site. I'm sure there's a ton of overlap though LINK

gambles
Key word here.
Just the simple fact that he gambles on the stuff he fabricates should tell everyone the guy has no sources anymore (or maybe just for the Sumlin era)
Sumlin runs a tight ship and I found that out when I had a premium subscription and we got fed zero info in Sumkins first Spring Practice.

Oh, I completely agree. I hope Gabe eventually jumps him. Without the information, Looch is 1/3 of the journalist that Gabe is. And Gabe is the nicest guy on the planet.

So we land Chavis AND lose McKinney in the same afternoon/evening?
fricking best day ever

Gabe is a good dude, though he tries too hard to be "cool" and comes off as a dork sometimes.
Liucci treats him like shite though, always ripping him on the radio show and throwing him under the bus when stories go bad.

That'll be a negative on that.

So did we really contact Chavis or did he contact us? Semantics probably, but I heard we were set to sign Foster until Chavis contacted Sumlin.
