A couple of things:
So Lance McCullers doesn't get the win. He only goes four innings? Is this a bad sign? I guess he needs more time.
We will few if any away game TV broadcasts this year? I though I heard Todd Kallas and Geoff Blum talking about this.

Ump called a tight zone. There were a ton of walks on both sides. McCullers has a history of being inefficient. It’s a concern, but he’s filthy enough and it’s still early. I wouldn’t be overly concerned.

Our broadcast crew does it from a TV for away games. MLB is limiting who travels.

They going to be on AT&T Sportsnet for away games?

Ahhh, the alternate channel. The Rockets were on for me. Needed to go up one channel.

Yup. It looks like no ATT tonight. We’re on big Fox.

Timely last night. Not at all tonight.

I fricking hate the extra inning rule.

Of course Albert gets the grand slam. He is there to harm the Astros until he can play ball no longer. That's why you don't walk too many batters!

I feel like outside of Greinke every single pitcher we have thrown is 27 and under.

Yeah there are a bunch of newbies in the bullpen. It will be interesting how this all turns out. More importantly, can Springer and Altuve still hit? Man it's only a 60 game season if you know what I mean.

First three have stumbled out of the gate so far for sure.

Springer is already turning it around.

Altuve is the one not showing signs of life. Very unlike him.

Not a lot of conversation on this thread. The way things are unfolding it looks like the Astros don't have a very good team relative to the competition. Maybe the sign stealing did have an effect in earlier seasons.

Seems they didn't try to keep a top notch pitching staff. That looks like it's biting them. Batting averages are pretty tepid also.

Our pitching is what is hurting us more than anything. I saw a statistic before the A’s series that showed us in the top 5 of hitting but our main guys (Altuve, Bregman, and Springer) aren’t swinging the bat well. It’s been a disappointing season I’ll admit that

I think Springer is a free agent after this year. Bregman and Altuve signed longer term? I mean Altuve was an MVP and batted for high average year after year. Something must be going on between his ears. It's remarkable how cold he has been early the last couple of seasons. But there ain't enough time to catch up this year.

Indeed. He’s been playing in Korea for years. Reds picked him up this year.

Looks like Kyle Tucker may be a player after all!
