do they give better recruit info than looch and brice on texags? should i drop my premium texags account and just start subscribing the TOS or should i stick it out with texags?

I know Looch and Hamm and a former roommate worked for Rivals for like a year. Hamm has the beat recruiting side Info, coaching/administration side Looch will always do better than anyone else. If you ever talk to either of them you'll realize how much pull these guys have. Floyd Raven is an Aggje because of Hamm. I'm sure plenty of players are because of Looch and company. I pay for both. I like being involved in all of it. But as far as bang for the buck, no one will outwork Hamm on personal relationships with recruits and their families. Looch will forever and always have BMAs and the inner workings on lock. This isn't to say the coaches and shite don't care about alk of them. They know recruits look at them all and have relationships with all of them. My advice... if you SIMPLY care about recruiting.. go 247. Content wise, you'll never beat TexAgs. And rivals... tarp is supposedly a really good guy but passwaters is annoying. Iunno much else.

If you'd rather wait to find out the information when everyone else does and not waste $10-$15/month, don't do any of those.

No doubt they strive to create that impression.

Been a while since I checked TMB, but this thread seems relevant: LINK.
Everyone else hates their school's recruiting gurus too.

Off topic, but TMB is pretty badass. I don't post there and jump on it maybe 3 times a year, but every time I do I can't stop reading it

this is somewhat relevant I suppose. It appears if you post in this thread you can get a free month to Texags. I have no idea why but at least you can't be ripped off if it's free.

Hamm is a Hop's protege from Scout, not rivals.

Yeah I see four of us got in on it. I had 2 stars back in 09 and just never thought it was worth the $15 a month but free I can handle.

For anybody posting on Premium, I would not recommend telling anybody to DIAF. Apparently that hits a nerve and gets you a 3 day ban.

From other posters on the same thread:

You just need to know your surroundings. On here no one cares about saying DIAF. On a premium board of all Ags, you are expected to show a little more tact and less over the top internet crap.

Dude combined three different hated Rivalries posters into one and then accused me of being them. That's quality.

Yeah I respect that for the most part but this was a thread with "conspiracy theory" in the title.

I've recently had accounts w/ Texags, Websider (Scout), and Gigem247. Used to also have a sub w/ the Rivals site, but that was so long ago my experience probably is no longer relevant.
Gigem247 has the best recruiting info, imo, and as a bonus a sub to that site lets you read ALL the content from ALL the other school sites. Meaning you can read what the LSU insiders are saying about Speedy Noil, or how the UTx fanbase is melting down after losing another 3* recruit to Ole Miss, etc. The community is decent, but posting is still a bit sparse (but perhaps only in comparison to Texags). Subscriber numbers are growing. Aubrey Bloom has just left the site to take a newspaper job in Temple, and has been replaced by Brian Perroni.
One annoying thing: Hamm has a tendency to be short w/ people asking for information, which is a bit odd, considering he's literally in the information business. If he's asked about something that he's written about elsewhere (perhaps in an article or another thread), instead of just answering the question, he'll often semi-chastise the questioner for not already knowing. It's not a big deal, but the person is obviously asking the question because they didn't already read it elsewhere. It comes across as a bit defensive/petulant.
Texags has a tremendous amount of media content, and if that's your bag, would be the way to go. Liucci seems to have the most connections w/ the school administration and the coaching staff, but I felt that sometimes leads him to keeping info quiet. The community on Premium is the largest/most active I've seen, recently.
The most annoying things about Texags, to me, is that there does seem to be an inordinate amount of Liucci-worship and the policy of not mentioning competing sites by name. Now, it's perfectly within their rights, but it's ridiculously cumbersome to refer to "TOS" (as this very thread does in the title). Mostly because there are at least 3 major other sites besides Texags.
The strength for Websider is the community. Hop has good info, but he's just one guy, and I don't think this is his only full time job. He's not as comprehensive as Hamm, and the Scout site itself is not as developed or feature rich as is 247. Websider is good because Hop's developed a community that has some insiders who are willing to dish inside scoop about big-picture stuff. For example, Hop had the best coverage of the SEC move
I think most, perhaps all, have deals where you can try a month free. That would give you the best idea.

I don't subscribe but I do read that board periodically. I dislike Hamm's message board style immensely but I have a friend that talks to him (he's actually a source on some of Hamm's stuff) pretty regularly and he thinks very highly of Taylor. He feels he outworks everyone else (he's also a source for Luicci).

I'm currently on a free month at TA. I've never subscribed before but I find their obsession with media content weird. I can go to any number of places and get free content on the SEC Media days for instance and yet they've spent the last week writing their own articles that are pay content but contain nothing that isn't in the mainstream. And I don't care about Manziel's personal life but Liucci seems obsessed with arguing minutia like it fricking matters. It's amazingly hypocritical writing a piece criticizing the media's questions of Manziel while at the same time writing, tweeting, and arguing on message boards about what is "truth." This does nothing but feed the beast.
I also find they are very much in their own echo chamber. They ask leading questions of recruits and then all pound their chest that we lead. I really think as a group they need interview training because I don't see much value in asking a question like: "Which game are you most excited about attending this fall? Is it A&M-Bama?" Allowing a recruit to answer the question without putting an answer in their mouth provides a lot more insight. I think larger sites have an advantage here because they can talk to mods for rival schools and get perspective. I'm not sure the TA guys ever do.
Personally I can't see myself ever paying for what I've seen over the last month (but tbf I'm not interested in subscribing anywhere really)

I know Taylor as well. The guy works his arse off and absolutely loves his job. I realize they are competitors and it gets pretty tiring the silly bickering that goes on between both websites. I know that is the reason I got banned from Texags. Just because its from TOS, it does not mean that its blasphemy. Thats how people view it on Texags. Lucci and TA are awesome. They provide AMAZING content. However, posters on there view his words and infallible.
