Someone posted on the Coaching Changes board that if Beamer is fired, Foster is ours.

If that would happen, jizz jars would need to be discontinued in favor of jizz barrels

I'd rather have Bud Foster than anyone else on our board honestly. He would do a great job, and stay long enough for some continuity.

His "BTHO" pass back needs a little work, but I think we can work with it:

Beamer isn't going to be fired. But there's smoke there

Don't see Foster leaving Va Tech unless Beamer is gone.

Beamer is being given a graceful exit plan. At the end of it, Foster is in the wind. There's no value to staying now. He makes $535k and wants to be a head coach. They've all but told him he's not next in line. No idea what he'll do, but it's not complete fiction.

So Foster as DC, then head coach after the 2016 season?

Why is that funny? Sumlin's buyout penalty for NFL teams ends after 2016.

the frick?

No, if Foster is not given HCIW by VT, and apparently he is not going to be as they want to start fresh, he's going to have to find a new job either now or next year. Ideally that job is a spring board to a HC job.

There just so happens to be a few of those available right now and it would be awful dumb to delay a year when you don't know what jobs may come available and you're just a year older. Maybe out of loyalty he'll stick around. I dunno. But it's not as outlandish at is seems on the surface
