I always liked Carneys as well before I quit drinking.

That's probably my favorite bar. The $2 drafts on Tuesdays is great, and the bar staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.

Lonely widow, aged 70, decided that it was time to get married again. So she put an ad in the local newspaper that read:

WANTED: HUSBAND!
MUST BE IN MY AGE GROUP (70's),
MUST NOT BEAT ME.
MUST NOT RUN AROUND ON ME,
AND MUST STILL BE GOOD IN BED!
ALL APPLICANTS PLEASE APPLY IN PERSON.

On the second day she heard the doorbell. Much to her dismay, she opened the door to see a gray-haired gentleman sitting in a wheel chair. He had no arms or legs.

'You're not really asking me to consider you, are you?' the widow said. 'Just look at you - you have no legs!'

The old gentleman smiled, ' Therefore, I cannot run around on you!'

'You don't have any arms either!' she snorted.
Again, the old man smiled, 'Therefore, I can never beat you!'

She raised an eyebrow and asked intently, 'Are you still good in bed??'

The old man leaned back, beamed a big smile and said, 'I rang the doorbell, didn't I?'

The wedding is scheduled for Saturday

I get my first paycheck this week and want to use some of that money to have my diploma framed. I'm still living in College Station (Work in Navasota). What would be the best options, considering price and quality of work?

I have no idea but I know a few artist in town and they use them to frame their work.

Don't laugh, but I actually had Benjamin Knox frame mine and they did a great job

When I used to go fairly regularly, we hung out at Dudleys, Obannons (before it got so popular), Chicken, 315 (I think its gone now), Zapatos (def gone), Fitzwillys (gone)

We must have been students at the same time.

Obannon's was a cool place back when it started. I went the day it opened. For the first couple of years there wasn't much of a crowd. They'd occasionally have an Irish band, and still, not much of a crowd. I went there Friday before a game a couple of years ago... wow it was packed to the gills. Definitely a different experience.

The Chicken has sucked the entire time I've known it. It was only made halfway decent by having CHEAP beer. Now that that's gone, I don't see the point of it. Also - I heard they serve liquor there now? Don's rolling over in his grave. The point of that place was it was beer-only but the shotgun bar next door served only liquor. That was a fun quirk. Life needs for anachronisms like that and less homogenized BS.

315 was a crappy, cheap establishment that felt fly-by-night. We went there to pick up skanks. That place ALWAYS had dirty skanks who were ready to go.

Zapatos was legit. I didn't know it was gone. Sad. No more nachos. They'd always have local bands play in their side-lot after morning games.

Fitzwilly's is gone? WTF! That was our place for darts.

Our #1 was Midnight Rodeo. It was Shadow Canyon when I was a fish. It was our #1 because our regular bartender would always close us out with a $10 tab no matter how much we drank. We just had to tip her big. We had some huge nights that would have been probably $600 (in College Station!) and that tab was $10. It went out of business right after we graduated and we were NOT surprised.

Its not GONE. Just a new ownership, new name and a bigger outside patio with outside activities. Not sure but I believe its the Excel Group.

If he goes back to being a true stretch four instead of going all Dirk trying to jack threes then they will be really fricking good (assuming it happens). Hardens defense still is hard to hide. Need a three or one who can come off the bench and play alongside him that is a shutdown perimeter guy and can guard 2 or 3 6'6" and taller. That's assuming Harden will continue to give zero effort on the defensive end

Our 3 man will be Casspi, Covington, Hamilton, or Gentile (rookie). No one special.

However Nick Johnson may be that guy who can cover the better shootign guards for Harden. Plus he can yam too.

Yeah I forgot they drafted Johnson. They will be an absolute machine on offense though if they get Bosh. He fits perfectly with what they need
