I don't like Arkansas' hire.

Change my mind.

I don't like his resume. Dude may have taken the Mountain West by storm, but let's not forget that he's relatively unproven in the collegiate ranks. We've seen so many coaches tear it up in some lesser conferences only to fail in the majors (especially now that SEC basketball seems to be clicking).

Arkansas should have gotten someone that was more proven and established.

If you’re pulling for a lesser conference then I want someone who’s done more than 3 tourney appearances and 1 sweet 16.

I go through this every year in March because you come from a small school doesn't mean that school doesn't have good players. Nevada was 2 points away from elite 8 last year.
He was also the runner up for coach of the year in the NBA.

I agree with you 100%.

Like who?
Simpson wanted his some to be head coach in waiting.

Marshall wanted too much money upfront.

But because he coaches in an inferior conference, it does mean he went up against schools that don't recruit well. We've seen it so many times; good recruiters that win in subpar conferences but lose when the talent disparity disappears.

Now I'm not saying he's going to be a flop, but what I am saying is that the hire was riskier than it should have been. For a program like Mississippi State or South Carolina, sure? But for Arkansas?

I don't disagree with you but he also coached in the NBA and was also the runner up for coach of the year.

I see who doesn't listen to the Ticket. They've been sobbing about his last game for at least two weeks.
