Wow, yeah I wasn’t able to check back after my post until this morning and see that it’s been another 4 pages....
Let me clarify that my choice of words as “I would have bet money” was probably a bad choice. Yes I realized very much that we could’ve had a crazy in our own fan base and that was the most likely cause, or another fan base trying to appear as ours (which seems to be the truth from what else I’ve read now, t sip grad they are saying).
But I do stand by the fact that I did consider it a legitimate possibility at the time that she had written it herself. Look at the circumstances: (1) it happened right after the big comeback loss to UCLA where almost everybody knew he was finished after the season barring some miracle. (2) she claimed how bad it would’ve been if her kids had found it and seen it, but posted it all over Twitter anyways. (3) outside of the one use of the N word, it wasn’t really all that mean/racist of a letter. A legitimately pissed off 40 year old male football fan could’ve cranked out something way worse in less than 5 minutes. There are some real reasons people considered the possibility it was her vs the idea that we just couldn’t fathom one of our own fan base was crazy.
Anyways, sounds like it wasn’t Charlene or an actual A&M graduate, so best possible outcome. The legal system will take care of it, peoples narrative that A&M is a bunch of racists takes a hit, and we can all put the letter in the past now.

the above picture is supposedly taken from the 1982 tu yearbook as posted on texags, and apparently the chriswell is a misprint.
so the author of the letter is a tu grad?

In case anyone was wondering, LieSU avoided "Texas Tech'ing" this year (if you don't remember, from March 2009 - April 2012, Texas Tech didn't beat A&M in a single sport) by beating A&M this past Sunday in women's basketball.
