I just want to add that the weird Bama love thing has been a ton of fun to me. It freaks everybody out, and nobody knows how to respond, including Bama. I've laughed and laughed about it.

I clicked on the thread to talk shite, but then I saw how much research you put into this - you checked the score of the game for the last two years! - and decided just to give you props instead. Well done!

Here's an idea.
If...and I mean IF we beat LSU, we need to just leave the Score Board alone and watch the corndogs lash out at the flood of texags posters.
That way we can avoid the inevitable purge.

So a bowl game vs tu is even more likely now, they probably get 2 more losses leaving them at 8-4
We beat Auburn and drop to LSU we will without a doubt face them in a bowl
We actually should be favored in that matchup
Just food for thought

They cannot stop the run or passing game

The sweeps OKst was gashing them with in the first half were unreal, they knew what was coming and couldn't do anything about it. I didn't see any of the 2nd half but I guess they made some adjustments as they nearly shut them out.

Did you watch the same game I did?
It was 24-14 at the half and ended 38-35. Neither team shut the other out in the 2nd half.

OKst led 31-14 at half and was doing what they wanted offensively, they didn't score again until 5 mins left in the game after the sips had cut the lead to 3.

TexAgs appears to be turning on Mond

Just realized the recruiting thread title will likely be frowned upon by my IT department. I will be catching up on all things recruiting at the house

I’m mixed on him right now. We are playing two guards at OT and he is getting no help from his receivers so it’s hard to truly evaluate him. This generation of A&M fans will always use Manziel as a reference point for QB play but the fact is he played with three NFL caliber receivers and three first round NFL draft picks on the OL including two top-5 tackles.
That being said, there are some fundamental flaws to his game that I’m not sure are fixable. He isn’t a true “dual threat” as he is basically just a straight line runner. He isn’t elusive in the pocket and just generally moves very awkwardly and robotically. He releases the ball very early in his throwing motion and it sails on him. He backpedals when pressured instead of stepping up consistently.

Were you the one that started the Johnny thread this morning?

That’s ridiculous, the thread title needs to be changed

I guess not because I don’t know what thread you’re talking about

He has a point
At this point we might as well let Mond finish it out. Starkel is leaving and he can battle it out with Foster in the Spring/Fall.

Not surprised, there always has to be a witch hunt on texags when we lose.
I’m undecided on Mond. I think he is certainly better than last year....but that isn’t saying much as he was pretty awful as a true fish (not his fault) when he probably wasn’t ready for the bigtime.
His stats are obviously better than last year as CGSC posted a couple of days ago, but I’d like to see stats on is passing on throw that are 15+ yards in the air, 25+, etc. sure he can make a simple 10 yard throw to Sternberger that he turns into 25, or a screen to Davis that he takes 30+ for a TD, but true medium to long throws he’s not good on.
Also agree that he doesn’t handle pressure well by stepping up in the pocket. I know our offensive line isn’t the best, but I think they’ve bought him an acceptable amount of time in most games.
