I hope Johnny is actually about getting and staying well. People/rant Neanderthals will still talk shite based on his family’s wealth though, as if that means he can’t use mental health as a valid and fair reason for many of his actions.

For a 4/2.5? Dude, that’s cheap. Try living in Austin.

I’ll talk shite based on him being a spoiled self-centered punk with no discipline.
It’s sad that there are still Aggies white-knighting for that brat.
The only mental health issue he has is sociopathy and there’s no cure for that.

it is kind of funny how he can do no wrong in the eyes of so many Ags, or how quick they are to forgive him. its very cultish. reminds me how kevin murray was so revered in college station when he was always an arrogant a-hole that never gave two shits about A&M, but it wasnt until kyler turned his back on us when people finally soured on him.

People who weren't old enough to know about Kevin Murray put him on a pedestal, but most know his story.

idk man I went to his HS; being bipolar actually explains a lot of shite he used to do.
But that being said i wouldn't trust him for shite.

So what is the Kevin Murray story? All I know is he was the “best” A&M QB before JFF and that disaster with recruiting his son (aka “This isn’t what we fricking signed up for” after the first game).

If you want to get down, get down on the ground
She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie

besides the fact he only came here cause he was paid? Dude is just always looking for handouts. He supposedly felt underappreciated all these years and that the university didnt do enough for him after his untimely exit from football. He was jealous of the treatment earl campbell got on the 40 acres. Then as soon as kyler shows interest in Austin, rumors start circulating that its part of a package to allow kevin to set up shop in austin and be the george whitfield to texas QBs.

Kevin Murray has always been a pos. I can write a novel on the topic.
When he played for us, he was told to either declare for the draft or leave the team.

His senior year at A&M was going to be my senior year in HS - I think... The guy was an absolute stud... I always wondered why he declared for the draft early as I didn't see him being an early round pick. Then he wasn't drafted which actually was surprising but IDK about the other 'issues'.

Among other things, he was involved in blatant NCAA violations and was caught. We were scared he would drag the entire program down. He always thought he was entitled to compensation to be on our team....and 20 years later nothing changed. He not only wanted money for his son, but he believed his dallas HS connections made him extremely valuable to us if he were funded by our program as well. His ego was fluffed beyond all recognition by Dallas boosters, who believed he was a god in the dallas HSFB scene. Their mishandling of that situation actually is a large part of why we kept sumlin another year. Houston boosters, who are exponentially more powerful in the grand scheme, we so pissed at how kyler and Kevin were pushed on us and misrepresented that they refused to hold Sumlin accountable for anything. Dallas boosters will never decide anything important

My guess is sumlin blames him for a lot of the factors that led to sumlin' firing
